We will have turkey dinner at my brothers house on Sunday and then on Monday my husbands family goes out to the Rocky Mountains, which are only 45min to 1 hour away and we have turkey dinner but at lunch time. We also do some geocaching. Not much else, the place we have been going to for 10 years got flooded and has been damaged beyond repair so we had to find a new place this year, hopfully it will be just as nice. What do y'all do for Thanksgiving?

OK so give me Canadian version of turkey dinner?
Our Thanksgiving is on Thursday...with a three day weekend after that...I guess to recover. I wish it was on Friday, as I can always use a prep day. We have my parents, my oldest brother and his wife, my hubby's sister, her husband and three girls, hubby's mom and grandmother to my house. We have a turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing (whichever name you prefer), a veggie dish of some sort, and a veggie tray with OLIVES (it just isnt Thanksgiving without olives!). Pie for dessert..ok pumpkin is traditional..but I am not a fan myself, so usually pumpkin, lemon meringue and a berry of some sort. My sister in law brings the pie!!! Now I am hungry again.

Thanks alot BNlater, I guess though I am 1 hour close to dinner than you are! We will have turkey and dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, turnip, and a mixed veggie casserole we make with cream of mushroom soup and these french fried onions on top, we too have pumpkin pie, but I am with you, I would much rather have lemon meringue and a berry pie! Very similar except for the olives!!

OHHH and turnips!!! Not my favorite veggie!! OK you do the green bean casserole? I do one with California mix (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots), cream of something soup, sour cream, swiss cheese and the Durkees onion rings. I have to stop with the food talk......I am thinking about booking a flight to join you for dinner...unless you would make me eat turnips...then I might have to rethink it!!!

OK I am a glutton for punishment...how do you do your turkey? Last year I found this cool recipe where I brined it for a day...all chilled and such with green tea and lots of fresh herbs....it was the best turkey EVER!!!! We are gonna do it again this year.

[glow=red,2,300]THURSDAY IS BACK[/glow]
Went and saw the psychologist, and discussed my relapse that I suffered yesterday, still it was good to talk to someone...not only that the owner of a watch shop gave me some advise on dealing with what I am going through at the moment and another person I can talk to openly without any retribution...
