Today was a good day. It started when I checked my bank account to discover my tax return was deposited! yeay! Found money is always good. Ah, one of those who likes to let the government borrow your money for free all year. It is exciting to get it back though. I got whacked this year and it was very hard paying what I owed. |

I'm experiencing my first tax returns this year... no news on them yet... stupid slow Canadian gov't  And BNLater, yeah, I do splash the water on me, cause my skin absorbs the liquid almost instantly... of course, the ice cubes have a harder time fitting in, but they eventually make it through. Then, after that, I usually have to lie down in a large bucket so I don't lose any of it. |

Ludwig that sounds like it could be very cold in the winter time. Now so I don't sound uneducated, what is the weather like in Quebec? Such as how cold does it get typically in the winter and how hot in the summer and it it humid or arid?

Ludwig - I filed my tax return about 3 weeks ago and did it through efile and got it back today. Perhaps yours will be there soon.
Flipper - As long as I don't owe I'm always happy. I started my own business two years a go and its slow on the up start so I have a part time job. I figured because of my lack of income, I'd break even. I didn't expect to get anything back. So to me, its found money.

BNLater, the heat can reach 40 degrees Celsius in the summer, but that's only for a few days, max a week... usually in the summer the temp revolves between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. In winter, it depends... south it usually reaches -20C for most of January and February, but as you go north, as in my hometown (about halfway up the province), you can reach -30C for a week or two, and with the wind factor that's present in many places, the temp will drop to the mid-minus 40's at times... it gets pretty cold. As for humidity, the more south you are, the more humid it is.
That's about it...

Ludwig - I used to live in NS and I would drive back to Ontario yearly. I always seemed to time it so that we arrived at Trois Riviere as the sun was rising. It was beautiful. The mist would be rising from the water just at the day was breaking. And I always had my camera burried at the back of the car somewhere....  |

Aww lucky! That's a scene I miss right now... the sun rising (or setting even), and the mist on the St-Lawrence... or were you talking about the St-Maurice? And how long did you stay in NS?

Ludwig I love 40C but not a big of the -40C...
the cold isn't bad here, we do get wind chills coming of the Antartica, and that does chill the bone very nicely...
the lowest temp I've dealt with was 0.01C not quite the below zero factor and the hottest would be about 48.7C
for those operte in Farenheight (sp?)
32F to 125F
