That is an excellent point, mas. I wouldn't be offended if someone said Happy Hanukkah to me, they're giving me well wishes even if it's a holiday I don't happen to celebrate!! Geesh, people are crabby enough in this world, why are they trying to take away the one time of year that everyone used to send people their best wishes?!

Ditto BNLater I'm in the process of creating a list of aims for 2006, things that I want to do, see etc and also things that I want to achieve. Stuff like: Pass my January exams with at least 70% Give 100% at the womens indoor cricket competition in Feb. Save money so I can go travelling in the summer Etc.....just wondering what would be on other peoples lists.

My goals are * that I get a job as a carer at a nursing home (after completing a 9 month course) * get my car or motorbike license (or both) * see BNL live in concert (highly unlikely - but its in there anyway) * Just being me and living with the good and bad things that happened to me in the past 34 years

Well I don't do New Year's Resolutions...they are a waste, but a list of what I might want to accomplish are: See my son graduate as a Medical Assistant and start nursing school
Do some traveling related to BNL and seeing BNL friends
Get some major projects done around the house

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!! Here's a copy of an e-mail I just received, New Years Resolutions you can KEEP!!!
1. Gain weight. At least 30 pounds.
2. Stop exercising. Waste of time.
3. Read less. Makes you think.
4. Watch more TV. You've been missing some good stuff.
5. Procrastinate more. Starting tomorrow.
6. Stop bringing lunch from home: Eat out more.
7. Get in a whole NEW rut!
8. Spend your summer vacation in Cyberspace.
9. Don't eat cloned meat.
10. Create loose ends.
11. Get more toys.
12. Get further in debt.
13. Don't believe politicians.
14. Break at least one traffic law.
15. Avoid airplanes that spontaneously drop 1000 feet.
16. Don't swim with piranhas or sharks.
17. Associate with even worse business clients.
18. Spread out priorities beyond ability to keep track of them.
19. Wait around for opportunity.
20. Focus on the faults of others.
21. Mope about faults.
22. Never make New Year's resolutions again.
Here's to a great 2006!!!!! ;D

Nice one Aims!
Ok. Here's my "to do" list: • Have a baby • Gain some pounds - kinda happens when you're preggers. • don't drink caffeine • don't let the exhusband piss me off - could be tricky. :-) • relax • enjoy the summer • enjoy my two kids • eat whatever the hell I want
there's probably more but I figure this is a good start.
