HOORAY FOR AN EYE EXAM!!!! They're not so bad though, except for the air puff glaucoma test, that thing bugs the crap out of me. I hope you pass, Hogey!  Do you get to pick out new frames this trip, too? That's one of the best parts of the eye doctor's office, playing with the wild and crazy frames!! Anyhoo, glad that it's Friday now!! What are the exciting plans for everyone this weekend? |

HURRAY ITS FRIDAY
Eye exams....ehhhhh gotta do them. I really hate picking out frames myself. Actually I am very tired of wearing glasses, but contacts and the arid so cal climate do not mix for a woman of my age!!! So bifocals it is.
Ahhh plans for the weekend.....not much. My son wants to see a movie with me on Sunday....so that is something kind of definate. The rest.....just do some stuff around the house and yard....and play it by ear.

camping and chuckwagon racing, wieners over the campfire, cherry pies in the pie iron.........getting fat just thinking about it

Wow that brought back memories of when I was little and we used to do the pies in the fire.....I don't like cherry or apple, but I loved to make them!!! Dang that was a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGass time ago.

Fun to make in the iron nonick. We used to use buttered white bread and then the canned filling....like I said, I don't like apple pie, but I was great at making them, which made my brothers happy. They just got served tons of them!

You cook them in a pie iron, a cast iron thing that opens up, like a sandwich maker (mmmmmm, grilled cheese in the pie iron) they get kind of crunchy around the edges, then you put some icing sugar on them and pass it around. Pizza ones are good too but we prefer the sweet pie stuff

Grilled cheese with a half of a hot dog in it was my favor. We never tried pizza, but it sounds good.

Now you are making ME hungry. I LOVE breakfast! Baileys in hot chocolate...I prefer it in coffee....but either sounds yummy!!!!
