Ewwwww... the ACT. Now is that the one where you're better off NOT guessing and leaving stuff blank if you don't know it, or is it the one where random guessing will actually help your score?

Randomly guessing supposably will help your score. It's actually called the "PLAN"... It's a practice test for sophomores, and it costs nine dollars to take. I figured it couldn't hurt to take it, and I even got out of my english class. So it all evens out!

I agree, can't hurt to know what you'll be getting into next year when you are taking the ACT or SAT for real. Personally, I did fabulous on the PSAT, then I STUNK at the ACT.

Ahhhhh standardized testing. I took my share, as I took both the ACT and SAT, because I was looking at schools all over. The of course there was the LSAT and lastly the Multistate testing for ethics and the bar exam!!

Ohhhhh.... the days of standardized testing. I did great on my ACTs. Did pretty well on my PSATs, and then managed to get the exact same score as my PSATs both times that I took the SATs. LOL Guess I really was consistent. My best friend got a 1560 on her SATs - freaking near perfect! I honestly cannot for the life of me remember my GRE score. I got into grad school, so I suppose I did well enough, right?

ACTs and SATs are both standardized tests that are used basically as college entrance exams. The higher you score, the better the school you'll get into. PSATs are kind of like practice SATs, and whatever Devin took was a practice ACT. GREs are entrance exams into general graduate schools (non-professional areas of study, like I was going to school for history). LSAT is the entrance exam for law school. Does that help, DH?

Thank goodness. Only good thing about having to work every day during this time of year though is that the parking garage has a lot of empty spaces!

Finally I'm out of school for Christmas break! It just really sucks now because I have a very bad sore throat. I went to see my doctor today, and he gave me a shot and said it should be better in 2 days. Now my arm really hurts! It's better than being sick on Christmas, that's not any fun at all.
I found the best cure so far is Mountain Dew and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese...
