So many times I've been asked, Jess, what do you do when you rent a car, but you can't get your luggage to fit? Well, now I'm ready to let the whole world in on my secret. You too can make any amount of baggage fit in any sized rental car! All you have to do is follow this step by step tutorial, andsoon you and your friends will be packed in a car like sardines in a can! So, grab your pencils and paper, make copious notes, this is the only time you will see this process for public viewing. Step 1 - Calculate the luggage size and space required for cramming the bags in a small space.

Step 2 - At least try and make a half hearted effort to fit the bags in the trunk.

Step 3 - Prepare to ninja kick the crap out of the bags.

Step 4 - Execute the bag busting kick.

Step 5 - Providing you haven't seriously injured yourself, or put your foot through the bag, park your car as close to a wall as possible. Now, this is very important, please, please, please be sure the emergency break is in place. When you have super human strength such as myslf, you can sometimes cause the car to move when forcing the bags into the car. It scares your other passengers.

Step 6 - Place both feet against the bags, brace yourself against the wall, and, well, give it all you got until those bad boys are crammed in there so far you will need a crow bar to get them out!

Step 7 - Give yourself the thumbs up for a job well done! Mission accomplished! Put that in your pipe and smoke it! You sure fixed that luggage's little red wagon! Yeah baby!

Oh, I should also mention, when packing, you may want to place all liquids into plastic bags, and breakables should be well wrapped. You also should be prepared to purchase new clothing should any toiletry items become, um, damaged and leaky during bag placement.
Not that has happened to me or anything, you know. Just a precaution. So nonick, how are those new jean capri's treating you anyway? Hee hee.
Ok, there you have it folks. I don't want to see anyone on this board struggling to fit luggage into a car ever again!

I've determined the only thing the trunk of the Mini is useful for is storing dead bodies. That said, you better have a hacksaw.

LOL Flipper. I have stuff in the boot, but certainly not likely to contain the bounty from a short trip to the grocery store. I need to go buy one of those trunks kits that is small and get rid of the jumper cables etc.

Thankfully all my liquids were double bagged at that point. unfortunately there is a flip flop imprint that will not go away. Why did my bag have to be the last one put in? There were several strange looks as we were doing this tutorial.

HEY LAURA!!! Long time no see. How is everything with you? I think it is safe to say that that is not the first time you two have drawn strange looks, and I venture a guess that it won't be the last time either!! But it is all good. So when are the two of you coming back to so cal?
