thats right.....another thing take inspiration from others who have had similar diseases or disorders and have made it through using their own techniques. I don't have the things that you or nonick have but my battle with several mental disorders is my priority as I have 6 types and going through the counselling is quite daunting but I know I can fight and eventually win my "war on drugs"
Vent as much as you like its a great release and a little tip that helped me through the court case for sexual abuse but this can be used by everyone to do an emotional diary get a plain white art diary, some coloured paper - blue (depression), red (anger), orange or green (relaxing), pink (pretty or inner child), yellow (happy), some stickers - general and achievement type, glue, coloured markers and write your thoughts in it and that will give you a 5 minutes away from the treatment and the disease to write things down. I used it a lot leading up to the court case, to vent my anger etc.
take care

Thanks everyone. Today is day one....so far it's sucky!!! But I have to get used to everything too so that will take time. I did manage to go to work today though, and will do so as much as I can because it takes my mind off of stuff. Thursday is my first day in the hospital for the IV part. I'm having a catheter put in and it's staying in so I have to be careful!!! And I was already warned that after Thursday I will likely have to walk with an aid for a bit for anything a block or longer. I'll get my trusty old cane out! I am super excited that the medications that I'm being given so far won't make me lose much hair. I will lose a little, but not all of my hair. Not sure I could deal with that yet lol. But I am feeling really pukey and chilled. Soon I will get to sleep....that will become something that I get to have more of woohoo!!!

kevfan do they give you anything for the nasea? Try ginger chews. My dad said they helped, and they don't taste bad either and no more chemicals introduced into the body either.

Today was an interesting day...started IV treatment and that was a gong show made me sooooo sick. Left class tonight twice to throw up lol. And, while writing notes today, I apparently became talented enough to break my finger (as stated in another thread). I know I need to be more careful with my bones especially now, and just was not paying attention.
I'm trying to convince this virus I picked up not to go into my chest otherwise I will be layed up in the hospital with pneumonia likely. So far it's been successful...but we'll see. It has travelled into my throat though, and I now have no voice. Hopefully this doesn't last cuz I work in a call centre and have tons and tons of questions for the drs. Although someone comes with me, it'll make it hard if questions pop up during the trips to the dr. I have been warned it could last the duration of the treatment though grrrrrr...
So tired...I've been sleeping about 14 hours a day this week. Never seems like enough though haha. Hope you're all doing well :-)

kevfan... i am like you on my way to see councillors with questions I tend to forget when I walk the door so I tend to write in my diary so I won't forget.
throat infections they are not nice and it feels like your swallowing glass...I hate to suffer them so much!
on the good news front my dr is weaning me of the meds for depression and I should be of them by the end of next month yay!!!!
take care all

kev definately take care of yourself. Let your body tell you what it needs, lots of rest, then sleep a lot. Drink lots, get as many vitamins in as you can. Write down your questions, so you can hand the list to the doc!!
dragon congrats

Thanks for everything :-)
Still nauseous but it's getting a little bit better...the ginger did help BNLater, wish it helped more though haha. I don't like living on crackers...and I'm going to tell my body to suck it up and keep other stuff down lol. Still trying to shake this virus but at least it has not gotten into my chest....gotta keep working on it though. Next week I get to have a meeting with my out-of-scope supervisor and the return to work coordinator in case I need to miss a bunch of work. It'snot me to miss work so I'll keep doing my best to get there every day. We'll see how it goes. Everything is low dose so it's not horrible at this point. Wheee not looking forward to next week hehe.

Good luck kevfan in everything you're going through. I know I've been silent, but that's simply because I have no idea what to say in these situations. Hang in there!
