Good thing about singing is that when you open your mouth to sing, you have to breathe - and that makes about half the horrid nervous omg I am gonna throw up right now! feeling go (people all tend to hyperventilate slightly when they are having a major freaky adrenaline rush). Breathe waaaay early for your entrance so you can really tank up and let em' have it. You will be mahvelous, dahlink. Hey, what's the show?

Great role! "If I Were King of the Forest..." you can be totally over the top with that one. Do you use that for your tryout song, or come with something else prepared? Anyhow, go for it, girl! And if you are a bit wound and nervous, just make like you are channelling your inner Coward. We'll all be at our desks somewhere cheering you on. <---did a bunch of theatre stuff back at the Dawn of Time - some of the best fun I ever had.

Hey, guys, my audition went pretty well!
I sang All I Ask Of You for my audition song (My theatre teacher said to pick something not from the Wizard of Oz) and it wasn't bad. I was a little shaky from nerves, but other than that, it was good. I kinda messed up "If I Only Had The Nerve" because, sadly, I lacked nerve.
My readings went REALLY well, for both the Lion and Auntie Em; I feel pretty good. So tomorrow the parts will be posted! Cross your fingers!

Hey, sorry for the delay, our internet was out. Well, I didn't get the part, but I knew I wouldn't when I saw that this other guy with a killer voice was trying out, so I'm not too bummed. They gave me three other roles all with lines and songs, though- the judges said my acting was "phenomenal" so I felt pretty good. The only thing is, with OZ, if you don't have one of the major roles, then everything else is really small, so my parts are like "Crow 3, Oz Beautician, Winkie." But I still have lines and stuff, so pretty good, I guess.

So things didn't go exactly the way you planned, but I am proud of you. You are staying positive and it sounds like you are going to have a good time!!

That's still fantastic, dijon! You're a.... sophomore, right? So you should have more opportunities for more plays? Now that the judges know who you are and if you make a smashing "Winkie" then maybe they'll keep you in mind next time around!

dijon there are no small parts, only small actors!!! Every part in a production is important to the whole, and your time will come. Have fun with it!

WELL, tonight is the last night of W of O, so wish us luck!
I'm basically in love with being stage manager, although it sucks having to yell at people.
