Nope ladi I did not ride to school. I walked to school in the cold..I mean bitter cold...and snow. You know it was 20 miles each way all uphill!! LOL OK so not that far and not uphill both ways..but the cold and snow was accurate for a good part of the year. I rode in most of my free time though. The first horse we bought Pokey...a huge 17.5 hand half thoroughbred half morgan bay...beautiful horse. The second was half quarter and half welsh...funny little gelding...called Smudge..as his coloring looked like a thumb smudge after reading the paper. I rode him both ways...English and Western and jumped a bit. Anyway..back to work for me.

crappy weather. slushy snow yesterday, low 40s today. I don't mind cold, or snow, as long as it's not a slushy mess. Hurry up spring...

Soft you mean when there is gray ugly slush along the roads and sidewalks? You talk about nasty.

Looking back the cold was not a problem for me, but that nasty gray slush and gloomy days were. I would much rather have it colder but bright. When we lived in Montana it would be bitter cold (minus 30 and such) but clear and bright...it was really pretty. I still do not mind cold so much, but I do not miss shoveling snow and such.
