I love me some bacon!!
When I go home next weekend I have to pick up some peameal bacon. I can't get that around here...everytime I ask, they give me ham. Don't get me wrong, I like ham, but it's not the same!

MmMMmmmmm BACON! Though I have to say, not a big fan of Canadian/back bacon. It is too much like ham, not enough like BACON!

I love Canadian bacon.............not the same as our bacon, but equally as good. I used them for different things. Canadian bacon in my quiche!!!! Bacon with eggs!

Sorry but I think Peameal bacon is just strange. It's the ham that's not ham and bacon that is totally not bacon. I am a thick sliced, cooked with crunchy spots but not overly crunchy bacon girl. I likes my bacon to have a little of everything. Yesterday I was watching Emeril and he said something about "bacon oil" that he had been rendering and I thought.. Bacon oil? And then he corrected himself to call it bacon grease. Funny. Then I wondered where he was from for a minute that he didn't know to call it bacon grease but he's from 'Nawlins. Odd, very odd. He corrected it though. It just sounded so foreign. I had never heard the term bacon oil before.

Ha, yeah, actually I was thinking when I read that, "'Bacon oil' does sound more appealing..."
