Sloshed Saturday

Ok, so tell me. How sad is it that I'm sitting here on a Saturday night, not even 8:30 pm, and I'm tanked. Yup. Gunned. Loaded. Hammered. Looped. Wasted. Whatever you want to call it, I'm it. A bottle of wine after work on an empty stomach, not a good thing. And no one is around to share in the fun and laugh at me. How sad.

So how is everyone else's weekend going?

I had an energy drink at about 10 o'clock, it's now midnight. It's still going strong, and I am running out of things to do. I've watched Clerks and Borat today, and I also rented Office Space because I've never actually seen the whole movie. I'll probably watch it here in a bit.

I picked up my wedding ring and engagement band from the jeweller's today. I was slow on getting them fixed/resized (both were too big, and then the wedding band cracked on the cruise), so I haven't worn them for two months and I'm *so* glad to have them back. It was irritating to not have them there - I constantly got that "Oh no! My rings!" panic before I remembered that I'd taken them off.

I went to the gym today too, but that's about the extent of my accomplishments for the day. Pure torture.

Other than that... I got another postcard today. Yes. An anonymous postcard of a chimpanzee. It's the third one I've gotten - this one is from France. The first was from Greece and the second was from Canada. LOL No idea who has been sending them...

So hey, it's Sarurday. It's just after 6 am here and I'm drinking coffee and preparing to get ready for work. I'm so darn tired today. I just have to get through my 10 hour work day, I think I can, I think I can! This it's all of one day off tomorrow. But I shall relish and appreciate that one day off.

Ok, so, anyone have any fun exciting weekend plans?

My daughter is having a baby shower for her best friend so I am going to that with a huge seven layer dip. Guess I better go make it and do some cleaning.

Dr. Sexypants is at a math conference in SLC and I prefer to clean when I am along. It's just easier.

Wow another Saturday and nothing to do. Well too much to do I guess. I am done housesitting today so I cleaned the house top to bottom. I'm not that dirty but they have a cat and a dog so they track in a lot of stuff and then there's me with the dishes. Well it is clean, towels and sheets washed, floors vacuumed, dishwasher emptied, bathrooms scrubbed, and all my crap at the front door waiting to go out. I still have an insane essay due for monday morning as well as a french tourist brochure and another essay due on thursday. So much to do and so little time. Does anyone have one of those time machines so I can go back to where I procrastinated and start sooner? Like January? hahaha

No kidding. It was by far one of the best vacations I've ever had.

Oh, and for those wondering (which is probably no one, hee hee), there was no sloshing for me thispast Saturday. Had one glass of wine while I cleaned my kitchen and promptly fell asleep very early. I was beat.

Well, another non-sloshing Saturday for me. Did I mention that I'm working today? From 7:30 until 6, blah. Oh well, lots of bills this month, so thinking of the money will get me through it! How did both my car insurance and house insurance become due at the sametime?

Oh well, all a part of life.

So yes, we know BNLater is working on the house, how about the rest of you? Tuzzi's son is celebrating his 3rd birthday tomorrow, so I'll go have cake! Other than that, church, and getting organized for my trip to Ontario next week. Yay.

Ugh... I feel like.. ummm.... Crap. I have a really bad sore throat and it's driving me crazy.

The Kids' Choice Awards are on tonight, and Mike Myers will be on. I'm so excited! I'm getting ready to find a VHS tape right now....

Did some housework, then went shopping for easter eggs for the nieces and nephews....what fun trying to beat the crowd as I hate crowded shopping centres/ malls

I am studying for my insurance license. I let it lapse because I was going to school and I am not going to work in insurance anymore. Then I got this offer I couldn't turn down. I don't know how it is going to work though.... I can see why they have had a high turnover and need someone strong. Oh well, I have been called "The Terminator" before because I went into positions kicking ass and taking names, the only problem is I think the problem here is the employer, not the employees. Oh well, one day at a time.

I am going to study sitting on the deck in the sunshine and 60ish degree weather listening to the birds... that will make it more tolerable.
