Yeah, I finally gave up and got granite. I thought it would be too dressy for the basement but all the man made products were way overpriced and I really had turned my nose at laminate, even though that's what I started off at. The one I picked I really liked and I think will be kick-ass where it is.

Tan-Brown - has some flakes of gold in it - dark enough yet has kind of a "festive" feel.
