Everyone celebrates Thanksgiving in one way or another, DH... we've all got SOMETHING to be thankful for! I, personally, am thankful that I am not sitting in the cold slushy snow/rain with my husband and son watching the local high school football game!

Ha, maa - I just came back from an absolutely freezing, muddy and raining for the first half high school football game.
We won though! I may not be a football fan or have a whole lot of school spirit, but it was still pretty exciting. 21-20.
Happpppppppppy Turkey Day everyone.

I just laughed right out loud, Burnt. You're a better person than I...
*dreads the idea that next year her son might be on the varsity team and she'll have to go to an absolutely freezing, muddy and raining for the first half high school football game on Thanksgiving*
At least your team won! My son's school lost.

I'd probably be playing in the halftime show at that football game if I was there, ugh.

You guys talking about playoff football? Our state is having it's semi-finals this weekend. My wife's school is still alive, but we'll be at the beach so can't attend. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

At the beach? As I type this, it's 32 degrees and my hands are so cold that after just about every 2nd word I have to backspace and retype.
*mental note: get insulation for attic door because that's where the draft that's blowing onto me is from*

Maa, did you get snow for the holiday? We still have about 2 inches out on our lawn. Our house is pretty snug, though we keep it warmer with a small wood stove. I hate the cold though. It puts me in a bad mood! I'm just counting days until April.

Ha, you're REALLY just counting the days 'til Friday, Nancy...
Nope, no snow. Correction... we got about a half inch of slushy crap and then it turned to rain. I'm so glad my husband and son didn't care whether I went to the h.s. football game or not!!
