Surprising we saw Ringo last year....it was a great show. I would like to see George and Paul, but not likely on the latter. I would have like to see John too, but alas those opportunities were cut short by an idiot. I do own his stuff though. I was a bit young for seeing the Beatles, but I do love their music, and it still holds up. Jessica, I might spend $260 to see The Police in a more intimate setting, but a baseball stadium...no way. The acoustics are not good in the first place, and you don't really get to see them anyway! I generally avoid the huge venues, but we decided that to see Clapton we would give in. It really was worth it too. We are still waiting for the complete summer schedule to appear for a couple of venues, but so far we will not be seeing as many concerts this year as last. I am waiting for Hootie tickets to go on sale at two venues.....gotta see Hootie.

Where are you going for your band trip Jane? A neighboring school of ours is going to New York City... We're such a small school I don't think our band does anything special.

Mmmmm, french toast.
So how was everyone's Sunday?
I went to church, then came home and prepared a ceasar salad and oven roasted asparagus for a BBQ at my brother's place. It was good. I helped my brother set up a screen tent/gazebo we got my sister inlaw for her birthday. What a pain in the ass. It was windy and cold and it rained a bit. But it looks great. Came home, soaked in a hot bath and am ready to head to bed.
Most of my posts seem to involve food. I love to eat.
Seriously though, how was everyone's weekend?

It was a busy weekend for us. Finished with cleaning the garage on Saturday, and I painted 6 new doors............my arms hurt! Also packed some stuff in the house, and cleaned and polished the granite in our bathroom....gee isn't that fun. Sunday we were in San Diego for the Padres draft.........Bob was happy because he got most of the games he wanted! Then we drove over to my oldest brother's new house and took the tour, then my mom and dad followed us up to see the house we are buying (well the model) and our empty lot. Then we stopped at our favorite Italian place for dinner. Exciting huh?

I love Universal Jane! Which park did you go? Studios or Island of Adventure?
And BNLater, I always find productive times fun! I wish I had a little more freetime to do work around my house. And yay for Bob for getting most of the games he wanted!

We didn't go to Universal on our band trip to Orlando. We did two days in the Magic Kingdom, MGM, and the last day in Epcot. It was one of the greatest trips I've ever been on in my life! Hooray for Band Nerds!!
My weekend was fine. Nothing exciting, but the weather was nice!

I can imagine, I got a real kick out of Bob, I think he's a great guy and super fun.
I hated Epcot nonick. MGM was ok, but I really enjoyed Animal Kingdom.
Hmmmm, maybe I should have been in band instead of the junior enrichment program. Though we did get to do a 4 day trip to NYC with the JEP. We were a bunch of geeks, but it was fun.

Well, for a bunch of wild and crazy high schoolers, Epcot did suck. But I think it worked out well because it was our last day and we were all butt tired by that point anyway. Sadly, Animal Kingdom wasn't around yet when we were there, but the next time my high school band went it was open. Day late and a dollar short!

I've got 10th row for The Police at Churchill. Only cost me $600 (included a fan club membership). Now I have two further back center stage to sell, and my brother-in-law sabotaged me by asking the guy I was going to sell the extras to. Apparently he didn't have anyone lined up to buy his 2, so he asked the same guy. So I have retaliated and asked Jessica from the cruise (his ex-girlfriend) if she would like them.
