Ludwig when do you head home?
Ohhhh man, I tell you you can all have a wrapping party at my house and you can do them all. I really dread wrapping.
iled...lets see...I bring lots into the office for the staff's exchange, my neighbors get some, I send some to my mom's for their gathering, I take lots with us on Christmas eve with my hubby's family and then for us. They are now expected...it is like if you want to come you have to bring cookies!!!!

hmm... "easy" cookie recipes aren't my mom's forte... I'm heading home on the 23rd... I'll be home on the 24th and 25th, then I take a bus back to Sherbrooke on the 26th, and then mostly probably back to work on the 27th. Eh, 'tis life away from my homeland!

Wow short trip!!!! Sorry you can't eek some more time, especially with the lengthy travel times, but I am sure it will be nice to be home for a bit at least. So do you celebrate Christmas with dad before you go or do you lengthen the season? What is on the Pirod's Christmas list?

yay for December! Snow, winter, and Christmas cheer! I love sending Christmas cards, baking, and labeling (but not wrapping, I always tape my fingers to the gift) presents! I also love shopping for my friends, because it's fun to try and be creative and get them something they'll like. And I can't wait for my grandfather's eggnog! Around christmas, my family literally gets together everynight for about a week and ahalf and has dinner and eggnog, and talks. it can get annoying, but it's also fun, and the food is SO good!
ooh, and Better than Ezra concert on the 10th!
ooh, and Dad's big 5-0 tomorrow!

it snowed a whole lot one year a long while back, and it was so funny because my stepdad and my lil brother went up north to see some and go skiing, and lo and behold, that was the year it actually snowed here!

BNLater, not really... I'll probably end up getting my presents early because my step-mom won't be able to wait until I get back Nothing much is going to happen for this Christmas anyways, except maybe for a trip to Montreal to see my dad's family. Enh, we'll see. And the Pirod's christmas list is empty, really... I'm just not able to suggest stuff, it just feels like I'm forcing people to buy me stuff. Oh, and I have to start listening to more Better Than Ezra

December for me means sun, sand and surf- with many days spent at the beach with the kids frolicking in the water.....

Ludwig, I know how you feel. I am not one to do the list thing either, although I like to have them from my son and step kids....otherwise I am left to my version of what they might like!!! We have a running joke with my step son about tightie whities...one year he got a huge box of them!!! OK they were covering a PS2, but you should have seen his face when he opened the box!!!! PRICELESS!!!! Dragon, I can do the sun and surf or the snow and skiing here in the winter!! soft sounds like your family does Christmas right!!!

Sounds nice soft, although it seems like alot of stuff to do, I find it really rewarding when everything looks nice and the food is good and people are happy.
No sun and surf here, well okay there is sun but this am it is -19 with a wind chill of -27, the coldest yet. I always think, how can the sun be so blinding bright and not provide any warmth!
That is hilarious about the undies and the PS2 for your stepson!!

iled...I remember that blinding sun in the winters in Montana!!! I also remember the wind chill, but I was a kid and did not know how cold that really was. I used to ride my horse in that weather. I did however get a good taste of it last year when we went to Toronto for the BNL show....left California it was 73 and got to Toronto it was like -10 without the wind chill...and then it got colder!!!
