Hmmm, I'm drawing a blank as well. A theme huh? Nope, got nothing! It's so sunny and warm here today, looks like a nice one! It's supposed to be nice all weekend, yay for being off this Saturday! Get some yard work done, finish staining my fence, take tuzzi's girls for the night, we are going bowling with my church, then Sunday a baby shower to attend.

The first thing that popped into my mind was the theme song from the old "Dick VanDyke Show"....gah!
Sunny and nice here as well, and don't have to work tomorrow so can get some stuff done, hooray! My lawnmower is working so I can maybe go mow the lawn after I clear up from supper. (Can't contain my excitement...lol)

That's neat...I have heard that the electrics have gotten much better! I actually kind of like mine - it has a key-start (can't pull-start any more because of a rotator cuff injury), mulches, and can take mowing paths in my "wild area" at the back of my little lot, which is pretty arduous for a mower.

Me too binskki! Rotator cuff thing that is. I bought a pull start gas one last summer and can't start it myself. I like the idea of of a recharable one, might have to look into that. Though it's more fun to call my brother to mow the lawn |

It is Thursday again. Going to be a hot one here in the Okanagan. I love summer! So, any exciting plans for the weekend anyone? It's been so quiet on the board lately. Where is everyone?

Jess we are seeing Blues Traveler, Collective Soul and Live on Saturday and have a Padres game on Sunday.
I was at my folks since last Sunday, so I was not around much........but I am back........now everyone post!

So how were the concerts BNLater? I saw Collective Soul many years ago, they were awsome. Well, here we are again, Thursday. My brother is building a 16X16 deck off my patio in my backyard. He started it yesterday and it's looking great! I can't wait to sit out there with my book and a glass of wine in the evenings But he said he'd be here at 6 am with his buddy to work on it, but it's now 7:30 and there's no sign of him. I wonder if it's due to the beer from yesterday? My deck better not come out lopsided! Anyhow, I'm just rambling. Any exciting weekend plans anyone? Not much here. Well, I am going to a BBQ Friday night to celebrate Tuzzi's brother's birthday. He's flying in from Alberta for a few days. Then, well, I officially start summer holidays Saturday at 4 pm! I plan to get some yard work and window washing done. I know, super exciting. Ok, rambling again, have a great day everyone! |

Blues Traveler was great, although John only threw 3 harmonicas. Last time we saw him I swear he chuck like 15 into the audience. I was not impressed with Collective Soul. First the lead singer is a bit taken with himself, and is not a great lip syncer. Second the mix was awful. We left half way through Live's set.............mix was even worse. I could not pick out the lyrics at all, just pounding bass and drums.
The deck sounds nice. He want to do mine next?
We have a busy weekend. Friday we are going to Orange County Fair and seeing Wallflowers and Train. Saturday we see Phantom of the Opera in the afternoon and then a baseball game that night. Sunday it is work in the house day........or maybe the yard. We still have some plants to get in the ground!
I hope you enjoy at least a slower pace during the "vacation."

This weekend for me is recover from the steroids weekend and hopefully reap some benefits from them as well. All in preparation for my family visiting next week into that weekend. I can't wait to see everyone!

Look it is Thursday and the board is deader than dead! Well James Taylor was great...........he has a funny stage presence, but is very entertaining. It was with the big band. I love some of their arrangements of his older stuff, and they do many covers.
