I used to get strep every third week or so when I was little. But they took out my tonsils and I have not since!!! Arrrgggh the joys of waiting for others. There is nothing more irritating!!! I hope he/she arrived and did what needed Jessica. BTW you need to get caller ID, and just ignore the office on your days off! Me too BNLater, but they refused to take out my tonsils even though my mom begged them. I still get strep about 3 or 4 times a year. And I do have caller ID. I know a hygienist who works at the office that called me, so I thought it was her calling to get together for lunch today or something. Instead she blabed to them that I was off today and had them call me to see if I would come in. I owe her one now And the damn cable guy showed up at 1:00 pm, an hour late. Oh, and he seems to LOVE his job (sarcasm there). I do have clear cable now though! I want to go back to bed so bad, my eyes are burning. I couldn't even put in my contacts today. Too much to do though!

Zout, huh, never heard of it either. Peroxide works great, expecially on blood. I get it on my lab coat at work quite often, being the brutal hygienist I am and all. I just dab a bit of peroxide on and poof, blood be gone!
Hmmmmm, I should recover bottles of peroxde with a label that says 'Blood Be Gone' and sell it. I think it's a cool name.
Why do they make lab coats white anyway, pretty silly if you ask me.
Wow, I'm all over the place with this post, so I'm going to end it here. I'm blaming my fever.

When it came to my tonsils - I would end up in hospital on a drip due to severe dehydration and antibiotics via the IV because they were soooo large and when they finally were taken out when I was 33, the ENT said they were the total size of a golf ball no wonder I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea with was caused by the size of the tonsils - thankfully they are now out!!!!

I had my tonsils removed when I was about 5 or 6... When I was young I had problems and strep throat all the time so my parents just decided to get them removed. I remember I was really scared and nervous about it... But it wasn't so bad. I remember that I missed our Valentines' party at school, so my mom went to the school and picked up all my valentines for me. I couldn't eat any solid for at least a week!

How old were you Devin? I had mine out when I was 6 and it was nothing. Strep hurt worse than the recovery from the surgery. But my roommmate in college had her out after our freshman year and you would have thought she was dying. It took her weeks and weeks to recover.

I've always heard that the older you are, the worse it is.
And no Flipper, I didn't get a new car. Mine was just at a dealer getting a lube, oil and filter (it sounds fabulous now by the way) and having the rear tire/brake checked out on the driver side. Supposedly there was nothing wrong with it, I honestly think it was something to do with how cold it was some mornings. Possibly a build up of ice or something that made it smell hot from rubbing.

Interesting. Here in Canada, they just won't take out your tonsils unless it's a life or death situation. I ish they would take mine out. Ah well. And that's about all I have left to say on the matter

Well, you guys were right. My Monday wasn't as bad as it could have been. Though, BNLater, I do believe you guys sent your rain this way. It rained almost all afternoon and evening! Tomorrow (err... today I guess) will be much better though... I'm going to work for 3 hours of training and then leaving to see Aqualung and Pete Yorn in concert. ;D Much nicer way to spend the evening than working.

Once again, Monday is back. I've had, or feel like I've had, approximately 6 hours of sleep the entire weekend. Maybe I'll go snatch an energy drink from my locker for next period.
So, over the weekend, I had a friend stay that I haven't seen in a year or so. She left when I was in Junior High, and moved about 3 hours away. I only get to see her once or twice a year, if that. We had a good time, I was just sad to see her go once again. Sunday I watched the Oscars, or at least part of it. I watched Ellen DeGeneres' opening monolauge and then I kind of stopped watching from there. It was definately worth tuning in, she is one funny lady! I've barely ever missed one of her shows. It really cheers me up after school.

Oh wow, I forgot about the Oscars. I never watch them, but I was interested to see how Ellen did, I think she's pretty darn funny as well. Ah well.
My weekend was uneventful. Worked all day Saturday. Watched my nephew for a bit that night. We had a potluck lunch at church after the service then I came home with the intention to do some housework. Ended up reading the paper in my room for a bit before drifting off into a comatose sleep for 3 hours. I never nap. I felt like crap when I got up.
So, how was everyone elses weekend? I'm not doing much today. Piano playing, some housework, that's about it.
