From all indications, these guys he's hooked up with are pretty talented. He is as well, but I'm afraid he's been too heavily influenced by Eddie Vedder. He needs to find his own sound.
But I haven't told him that - don't want to impact the direction he's headed musically.

flipper....I think you could give gentle pushes or thoughts in helping him find his own sound. Like when there is a glimmer or snippit of something .....really really compliment it!!! You know how men like to be complimented!!!! LOL but you get my idea.

flipper didn't you get it yet? I have listened three times through. I really really like So Cal....I really really don't like something Roadside...and the rest are in the middle somewhere. I do not like it nearly as much as BNL...the overall sound does not have depth......the guys are greater than the sum of the parts!!

It's sort of grown on me... You know, like moss. I really like "So. Cal." and "So Young, So Wrong, So Long" and I really dislike "By the Roadside", but other than that they're all just okay. What did you think of it?

Yeah, I got one of the Tower presale copies that he autographed.
I bet I've listened to the whole thing about 20 times. At first I was kind of blase about it, but like Nonick it's sort of grown on me. My biggest disappointment is everything has sort of the same speed to it. I agree it's nowhere near BNL quality, but I keep reminding myself he just did this on the side over the course of a few years. It's definitely going to stay in my rotation for a while, but I was expecting something stronger.

I would love to hear BNL do So Cal or some of the others. I think that they might make them POP in a big way. I don't have a rotation....I am more of a mood music lover. And then of course if I have a concert coming up I tend to get myself ready. Then of course there is new stuff I acquire.....ohhh hell there is no real rhyme or reason to what album I listen to any one time.
