6 weeks!! Oh, you would have to work here at the same job about 20 years to get 6 weeks. My last job I was there for 15 years and had 5 weeks. Spain would be nice too!

I get six weeks, but never take even half of them on a yearly basis.

I think if Tonya needed to she could take between 5 and 6 months off between vacation, sick days, and comp time.

Flipper I don't get comp time. But I know when I had my hyster I was out for 6 weeks like the doctor ordered, BUT I only used like 2 weeks of sick time by the time I bought it back with disability money!! I think I probably have 8 months or so on the books.

I don't think PM can cash in the sick time if she gets shit-canned, I believe it rolls into her DB plan so she'd get it in about 20 years or so. But if she ever was really sick or something it would be of great benefit. We bought LTD policies too and hopefully she'll never have to use any of it.

to answer your question iled....I am a casual employee - no such thing as holidays etc...I work shifts of either 4hrs or 8hrs and the boss makes sure no-one goes over the 38hr mark I came close on 2 occasions
also with casuals - no holidays, no paid sick leave - for more pay per hour...we get paid more for no holidays!!!

Hey, it's WEdnesday! The last day of work for alot of you folks with the Thanksgiving holiday this week! Yay for you guys!
I've taken one sick day in 8 years of employment at 2 offices. That is I called in sick due to a stomach flu. I was sick this summer with a nasty virus, but I don't get sick days at one office. The nice thing, as long as I book time off in advance, I pretty much can take as much time off as I like, which I've been doing alot of in the last 18 months.
I wish I had disability.
Anyhow, everyone have a wonderful day!

Jess, you would probably have that if you were just at one office? I have sick time and disability. It is a huge company though and I think they need to offer that. It is a pretty good benefits package, drugs, glasses etc, massage and lots of other good things I will hopefully never need.
Happy humpday all!

It is chilly here today, it is -15 at the moment and only a high of -2. Heading to Costco this am. We went to a Costco in the States this weekend, man what I would have given to have a cooler there!! Cheap, cheap, cheap. And I love Target. And CJ Banks.
