Hi there. I'm posting, after being dragged here kicking and screaming... ok, not quite. This is probably the nicest welcome I've ever seen at a board though, considering it came before my first post! Thanks for the welcome.

Something against Kentucky? I can be well-behaved. Usually. And yes, I think Kentuckian is the proper term, and much nicer than many other things we could be called.

Glad you're posting, Tiara - nice bunch here, and BNLater was teasing 'cause of Flipper, who you will no doubt encounter soon.
My only Kentucky association is that we used to drive horses there for shows and sales from Illinois; lovely countryside, and at one point I could actually say "Louisville" almost correctly (sounds sort of as though it has one syllable).

Tiara, nope nothing against the bluegrass state at all. I grew up in Ohio and went to school in southern Illinois so I know the territory quite well. I just like to tease Flipper!!!

at one point I could actually say "Louisville" almost correctly (sounds sort of as though it has one syllable). That is definitely talent. My college roommate always pronounced it Loo-ee-ville. She was originally from New York. Never could convince her to say it "right". *lol*
