You know and I was thinking about that just before the cruissss ah. Wow only three years ago and few days. It some respects it seems so long ago. What shall we do to celebrate...........how about everyone tell something special about the board, or provide a story about days gone by, or people that are here, or no longer come around.................nonick you want to start?

I think reflecting back I most remember people that have been active and then disappearred.........there are too many to list here, but the co-founder of the board would be one.

wow this is so exciting!!!!! just want to take the chance to say how wonderful it is that all of you great people have formed such a supportive, fun loving community. i remember softspotforsteve told me about this place, when we were still in school together, and then flipdog and dijon joined...and ludwig was first to talk to me, abouta cover song by burt bacharach, lol. and marketed and i became friends over a discussion we had about the significance of dreams, and the poetry thread, which isn't very active anymore, sadly.  i can't tell you hoiw many times the things we say and do on this board make me laugh and smile on an otherwise crappy day. i love you all. |

As I have been one that has come and gone, believe me school was the culprit. And now I am back, how could I not come back with all the wonderful people here. So I have been here for just over a year and have been on 2 cruise-zah's and working on my third, I hope.

I was a fan of BNL back in the 90's...then then in the early 2000's (I got a little busy with med school and all) I just kind of lost interest (funny they were most popular then?!) but then I came back... 4 years ago or so?? Now that there are actual people... (insert yourselves) and not figments of my immagination... I'm here for good. I can't quit ou guys!! MUAH!  |

I have to go along with the theme of everyone else's posts too, it's all about the people on this board that have made it such a great place to be over the past three years. Of all the "special stories" that have stemmed from this board, I'd have to say that the one that sticks out the most for me, was going to Vancouver on somewhat of a whim for the WWF benefit (with maybe just a little poking and prodding by the Queen of Corruption). By description alone, it has to be one of the craziest things I've ever done, and yet, nothing seemed abnormal about it at all. I just got on a plane all by myself and flew all the way across the country to meet up with a group of people that I had only talked to online. Sure, I mean, why the hell not?  But I'd have to say that it was one of the best crazy decisions I've ever made because it has opened up so many doors and created so many new and wonderful friendships. It is always good to know that there are more people in the world that are crazy like you, and somehow a group of us have managed to find each other via this one little message board!!! Long live Barenaked Randomness!!! ;D |

Ahhh WWF..............great time indeed. Probably where I truly earned Queen title!!!
Everyone is RIGHT...........it is all about the PEOPLE. It is because of people that the board was started, and it is people that keep me coming back here. Many of the people I know in real life now...........although I feel like I know all that have participated over the years as well. There are many that I miss because they no longer come around.
jane I am glad we can bring a smile or a laugh to your day..........I know I often howl at the antics here.
