Thank you all for the fabulous birthday wishes.
But I hate to break all your hearts- in Canada, 19 is the legal drinking age... I'm STILL not aloud in Doolins! But obviously, your thought is there... and it's very much appreciated!

Dang madblack....but it is lower in some provinces isn't it? Hmmmmmmm well, I say, BNL schedule a concert in Vancouver anyway...and screw Doolins, we will find somewhere else to go!!!!

The night of the WWF concert, my friends and I were to meet the others for a night of fun at Doolins prior to the show. We got there, none of us alcoholics, just there to eat and be merry, but the waitress kicked us out due to our underaged-ness. So we went to the Roxy Burger, and told the others we'ld meet them before the show.
So we went, we ate... we had fun. But just after dinner, I went down to the bathroom with a bit of an upset stomach. It passed after a couple of minutes of sitting (you can add the H in there too) and went k upstairs. Another couple minutes passed and my stomach was KILLING me. I went downstairs and sat on the toilet for an hour and a half. My friends went and picked me up some Immodium... it didn't help. So as 7:00 came around, I sent my friends to the show.. and told them I'ld hopefully meet them there at some point. Luckily for me, a kind gentleman had heard me in the bathroom, went out and bought me a bottle of Pepto-Bismol. Within two minutes... I was feeling 99% better. It was amazing. I got out of the bathroom, thanked the man (who didn't want any money in return... just wanted me to "PAY IT FORWARD").. and went off to the show. It was 7:15... luckily the show hadn't started... went to my seat... and so began the second half of the greatest night of my life!! And you know that story... don't you?
So... the moral of the story is... don't eat at Roxy Burger. Although I had before... and I was fine. The food there is good... but I really don't think i'll ever risk it... just to be on the safe side!

Geek that is sooooo cool!!!!! I wish I had those skills!!! madblack, if you were ever going to risk Roxy Burger again...which I am not necessarily advocating....just don't pick the night of a BNL show!!!! I was just so glad that you felt better and got to see the whole show...ok well not the part where you were on stage playing!!! But we got to see that part too.  |
