Well the zoo was very cool, but I have to say Sea World was more my thing.

Flipper..the zoo is wonderful...not as much fun on hot summer days...but a good cool day with rain....then it is wonderful. One rainy day my hubby and I sat for like an hour and watched the polar bears. Ahhhhh fun times. I love Sea World as well. Did you do the night time Sea World? That is awesome. I love petting the dolphins and the rays. We did not go this summer....but probably one weekend coming soon.
Dang Flipper you got crap tickets to the football game!!! Last time I got pre-season tickets we were three rows from the field. My son even had fun, but of course that had to do with the pretty cheerleaders right in front of us a good deal of the time.
Looks like you had fun in San Diego. Where else did you go? Old Town? Mission Bay?
Nice pictures...of course there are none with my hubby and I since you were too busy to meet us!!!!

Ah, I continue to get slammed for my lack of transportation issues. Maybe you could send me a picture of you and your husband and I'll digitally enhance a picture to make it seem like you were there. The 2000 miles I flew to get there should count for something..... But to answer your question, we drove over to the island just south - name escapes me, the Marilyn Monroe film was shot at the famous hotel over there. Crap. Can't think of it. We also went up to La Jolla, once as a drive through, then ended up there for dinner Sunday night after the game. Otherwise the parks and the game pretty much swallowed up the entire trip other than dinner downtown on Friday night. We left SeaWorld late afternoon - got there pretty much when it opened, and their 2 year old couldn't hold out much longer than that. Next time I go, I'll be spending the entire day at the dolphin tank!!

And by the way, those crap tickets were still $145 each!!! The brokers had bought up all of the mini-packs with that game in it, and were seriously gouging people. The "decent" seats (club level, etc.) were all listing for about $400 each. I don't care so much about being up high, kind of like it up there actually, so I just tried to get as close to mid-field as possible. I'd estimate there were about 20,000 Dallas fans that day, so I can see how it's normally a pretty easy ticket.

I went to one when I was in Chicago and I saw some awesome seals, and a lion..and yeah, some cool stuff but....hmm, the best part about zoos is when you get to your third exhibit and you realize how funny all of the animals look. And how funny WE look. Oh, seriously, that makes me laugh everytime I think about it.
Yeah..I definitely think too much. Love the icon pic, but the panda is adoooooorable.

Flipper, not the miles to get to San Diego don't count, since they were not expended on our acccount. And as for lack of transportation....I hear that San Diego has places that rent cars!!!!! It's a new thing and they probably don't have them in Kin-tuck-EE but San Diego is a sophisicated!!!!
You really got taken advantage of with those seats. Two years ago I got the field level tickets for four of us for less than you paid for one seat!!!!!
The island you speak of was Coronado...and you went to the Hotel Del!!
