That sounds like a nice weekend Jessica. I am sending my nice California weather vibes your way. Just take it slow and all should be good. We have continuing ed requirements too, but I never seem to be able to get my credit in a fun way, just bored to death listening to some boring attorney talk on and on, usually blowing their own horn.

Tech class was very boring... Maybe it's because I have a peice-of-crap computer at home that I take apart and replace parts all the time. I have an old iMac right now that I'm sooo tempted to take apart, but macs are WAY different than PCs, and I'm not too experienced with their internal organs. But I guess the only way to learn is to go ahead and try, and if it doesn't work... well... I'm not out much!

We are lucky BNLater. We have dentists and other dental personel that gives boring talks on restorative materials, record keeping, infection control etc. I mean, if I have to sit through another periodontal lecture I may hang myself with my floss samples.
But we get a variety, financial lessons, how to have fun in an office, oral pathology. One of my favourite lectures was done by the Canadian Military Dental Forensics team who provided the resources to positively identify victims of the TWA Flight 800 crash that occured a few years back after take off from NY en route to France. It was disturbing and graphic, but very interesting.
Thanks for the positive thoughts, I don't leave until next Wednesday, but I'm already nervous!

Good Wednesday monring! How is everyone today?
I grew balls yesterday. Yup. Finally got assertive and stood up to this co-worker who was trying to manipulate my whole Vancouver trip this weekend. So I'm leaving at 3 today. Everyone wish me luck, I'm nervous as heck. But looking forward to the convention and seeing my friend Edna.
I hope everyones daygoes well today and that you all have a nice weekend!

Youth Leadership is a group of kids that get together once a month to learn about leadership styles, and becoming a leader. There are 6 sophomores selected from each school, and they are chosen by teachers, guidance counselours and administrators from your school.
I feel really proud and lucky that I was chosen. I guess it means my teachers like me!

Any time you have the opportunity to develop your communication skills or how you deal with thing skills... there is nothing better that you can do.
It sounds like it is a very small group that was chosen. You should be super proud.
*toot, toot* for Devin! Good on ya.
If you can find a Toastmaster's International group around you, I would strongly recommend that as well. Being able to communicate and speak in public is INVALUABLE.
