Happy Dyngus Day!
Grab your water guns and pussywillows and find someone you love...

We don't have pussywillows. Our aspens are fuzzy though. Water guns we have so we can shoot the magpies and brown headed cowbirds from the hot tub. Oddly enough (hahaha), I have never heard of Dyngus Day. It sounds like a lot more fun than the reality.

Exactly!! It is more fun than reality!!
I do have some Polish heritage....but back home growing up, it was a big deal. Always on the news and such.
This year there's a pussywillow shortage...scandal!

It's kind of a big deal where I come from...
Like Like St. Patty's Day, but for Polish people...

mob I know there is a pretty big Polish population around nonick, that is why I was surprised I had not heard of it before. She was talking about going out for a traditional Polish Easter dinner!

We never celebrated Dyngus day in our house, but my aunt and uncle and cousins always used to... I had TOTALLY forgotten about it though! Man, there used to be some really funny moments when we were visiting them in Florida... also some more mean-spirited moments as well!
