Jane....good luck with that. Let me give you this piece of advice. You can negotiate your tuition. Make sure you interview at each school. (whether they require it or not) make 'em fall in love with ya, then come back and make an appointment with the financial aid office. Put your heart on the line, and tell them it's your number one choice (really mean it-don't lie) and give them what you could afford to pay. See if they can cut you a deal.
I used to work in the Admissions Office at my college. I've seen the inner workings of it all!

Here is our snow so far today, and it's still snowing! The weatherman really biffed it on this one.

I know, isn't it awesome! So pretty. I think it has stopped, the birds are flocking around the feeders again. I filled them earlier and sprinkled some on the snow for the flickers and doves but I don't know if they will be able to find it with all the new snow on top again.

It used to be like that when we were kids. It was the heavy stuff that you had to slug all day to make a fort or get to the garage. I was beginning to think that something really bad was happening to the earth, that picture makes me feel a bit better about all that.

Being a Texas native I never got to play in the snow. We had a few ice storms and I can remember peeling the ice off the leaves before popping it into my mouth. (I am sure it was clean... *eyeroll*) so when it snows I get all giddy. I love it. I was in total heaven today. Seriously, it was great. Then when I got on the computer tonight before shutting it down I saw these in my email.... This is now my wallpaper on my computer... Almost every bit of this snow fell today. It was awesome! Angel making a snow angel! Doesn't that look like fun?!? This will be my next wallpaper... so cute Cute kids!

I grew up here near the base of the Rocky Mountains and have had snow every winter my entire life and I still get giddy when I see that so I can imagine how you feel......and for the kids, what fun.
Let me say that I am the mother of 2 really cute kids and I must say that you have truly beautiful grandchildren. I live Vincent's smile and Miranda (sorry if that is your daughters name) is really going to be a beautiful girl. They seem really happy.....that is because they are at grams place!

I love when the kids are so little that, when you finally get them into their winter clothes, their little arms stick out to the sides.
Those are amazing pics, surprising. Adorable grandkids! And what gorgeous snow - I want to make a snow fort.
We are all melty here - which is kind of a relief, as everything had melted and frozen so much that it was just grimy and nasty.

binkssi THAT is the nasty part of winter. It was also one of the things that almost never occurred when we lived in Montana. Snow, chinooks, new snow!!!
