Well you never know, Jess... that thin layer of snow could just melt naturally while you are work and dance and then you won't have to even worry about it! We had freezing rain over night and boy was that weird. The driveway was covered in a crunchy, wet layer of ice this morning. It wasn't all that slippery, but it was weird. I don't recall ever seeing freezing rain accumulate like that before. An otherwise gray, gray day here today and the freezing rain has turned to regular old acid rain. I'm jealous of your cool weekend plans, Jess! No plans at all for me this weekend, but tomorrow is my birfday!!!!

Of course! Probably get a card and a gift, too. Usually gift card/money, which is fabuous... we might go out to dinner, not sure. But no special plans. I usually request King's Hawaiian Party Bread, but I wasn't thinking far enough ahead this year. March snuck up on me...

Is that the same as King's Hawaiian Bread? I remember eating that as a kid - kind of like a sponge cake, had a really sweet taste to it.

Besides, no nick already had herself a very tres cool birthday cake last weekend!
I hope the weather clears up. This has been a long winter for everyone it seems. Freezing rain and icy driveways are horrible!
And yes, my snow is almost melted!

I did indeed!
Kings Hawaiian Bread is the really sweet, round loaf of bread that is kind of spongy. What makes it a party is slicing it into a grid only down to the aluminum pan, stuffing the slices with a variety of white cheeses including pepper jack, then melting a stick of butter with some sliced green onions and poppy seeds mixed into it and drizzling it over the stuffed bread, then baking it in the oven for... a while. Don't remember how long, but the cheese melts and the butter cooks into the bread. It is FAB-U-LOUS.

Sounds very different! Never even heard of it...
Okay, so I was at the hairdresser from 4 until 6. I am exhausted. I got highlights and a cut. Doesn't look too bad, I actually really like it.... There goes my paycheck.

I don't really know how to describe it other than that, BNLater.... It is a round loaf baked in an aluminum pie pan basically and then the majority of the bread part of it rises over the top of the tin. www.kingshawaiian.com/products/sweetbread.html
