Thought the big night was worthy of it's own thread!
So, anyone have any big plans to ring in the New Year? Or any little plans? Or traditional plans?
I have none. We generally play games and have a few drinks with the whole family, but I'm not sure about this year. With 3 babies here now, it's not as easy to get together and hang out until midnight. And sadly, I get tired earlier and take longer to recover from alcohol intake these days.
Then again, quite often the unplanned events end up being the greatest times, so who knows.
Anyone else?

I have literally not a single thing planned this weekend. Not with anyone other than myself, that is. So no NYE plans either.  Probably will be Guitar Hero and door decoration work time. WOOHOOHOO! |

Definitely a cruise related weekend for me, between shopping, packing, and door decorations. No plans for NYE as such, had a friend text message me two nights ago about maybe getting together, but I haven't heard from her since. I've never been a big New Years person though anyway. I would be just as happy to ring in the new year cutting, coloring, pasting, and painting my door decor stuff!

prob a bbq at a friends house since my holiday isnt going ahead until April.....the good thing I get to catch up with my partner oh yeah!!!!

Yep. It's official. This is cruise preparation weekend. Tonight, we're going to Michael's to get some supplies, and then to go get some much needed clothes. And to pick up GH2 so I can get on it. And the rest of the weekend is going to officially be door decoration prep and GH2. WOOHOOHOO.
After last weekend, I really need some R&R.

My parents are having a karaoke party over at my place. But I'm 19; my best friend is in Mexico, and I'm not a fan of the alcohol. I have friends who are planning on coming by and we're going to possibly just go out and do dinner somewhere, but we don't want to go clubbing and pay a hefty cover charge not to drink. Maybe we'll stick around for karaoke, maybe not. Regardless, Happy New Year to everybody! |

Still no idea what I'm doing. And it's 7AM. Will probably go to my mom's for a bit, though I'm considering calling that off this week. I'm tired and want to rest. I've been working on my door decoration idea - practicing for the centerpiece. It's going well so far. I think it's time to actually put the pen to the paper and sit down to do it. Enough of this "practice run" work. I should probably go to bed though. |

I PLAYED GH2 LAST NIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME EVEEER and it was amazing. I'm having a partay at my house with a chocolate fountain and sparkling cider. mhm. |

I played some games and ate some good greasy appetizers at my brother's place lastnight with my whole family. Rang in the New Year then came home shortly after 12 and chatted with a couple of my Jazz Odyssey buddies before crashing at nearly 4 am. Go up at 7, finishing off a pot of coffee and getting ready to clean my house from top to bottem.
Sigh, when did I grow and become responsible and stuff?

Woohoohoo! The major part of my door decor is DONE. I have a bit left to add to it, but it's the easiest part, and then I have another little side project to take care of. Then it's to the printer to get the "side project" printed and the big part laminated. And maybe a few more things to buy. I almost let it slip! I'm now thinking I really need to get on my packing list. Because I'm started to kind of remember a ton of things that I need to buy before I go, and a packing list would round that out. And... I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year. |
