I worked all day, now I have 5 days off, yahoo!!!! Getting the kids back to school tomorrow, my son is starting grade 1 and VERY nervous!

Hogey it is a day to celebrate "labor." You know the workers that make a country run.
iled, wow 1st grade...that was so long ago for my son....and he was anxious and was like "yeah mom now get out of here."

Well, I missed this thread on actual "Labor Day"... but it was a gorgeous day here and my sister and I and our two dogs went for a short trip to Maumee Bay State Park which is on Lake Erie. It was a pleasant day and like I said, the weather was BEAUTIFUL!! It was nice to just sit by the water with the dogs and people watch...

Sounds like a nice day off for you nonick. I love being by the water, don't get to the ocean much, too far away. Nothing quite as peacful is there? Lake Erie must look like an ocean, it is so big. You are lucky to live so close to it.

We have Labour Day inAustralia - with each state celebrating it on a different day throughout the year....
In Perth, its celebrated on the first monday in March
