I don't know if I mentioned this, but I applied to a program at the U of C this summer, to take a class and live on campus...
I applied and I had to wait a long time...
And I've wanted to be in this program for MONTHS.
Needless to say (from the title)...I GOT IN!
Sorry, this is just for my own happiness, this thread.

Sorry sorry
University of Chicago
I got into a summer program of theirs...I'm taking Spanish there. Which is why I'm scared that my French might suffer...
Ah well!

Very cool marketed, so off to Chi town for you!!! You get to live in the dorm? So it is like Spanish 24/7? Will there be other kids there around your age? I mean is this for high school students? I am always curious.

There's more on the website!
I'm not so sure how the program works but no, I did not sign up for the immersion program. It's a college class and I'm getting college credits for it, which is good enough for me.
I also get to skip a level of Spanish...which is nice.
I do get to live in the dorm...my building is actually known as the Barbie building, because it's pink and purple...hehe.

Oh no, it's only three weeks. But the week before that I'm in Atlanta and running the Peach Tree Road Race...and my month of August I'm home, posting on the BNRandomness board.
But thank you, I'm excited too!

Just twice - and only once did I spend any time - for the BNFTH show in December. But I got just enough of a taste to realize how much fun it would be to spend a few weeks there, especially when the weather is warm.

Yes! I went there during my vacation, if you remember. It was rainy and cold and windy (of course)! Basically: yuck stuff.
So I'm especially excited for this summer.
Maybe I'll get BNL to play a couple sets for my dorm, eh...??
