I just talked to nonick's mother, and nonick is out of surgery, in recovery and doing well. They opened up both sides of the spine, thus hopefully relieving all pressure on the nerves.
More news to follow as I get it!!

Any news on Nonick today??
I wanted to call, but I think her mom has her cell..and as I told her the day before surgery, I'm hoping they put her on some good drugs to get some sleep!!
I'll be anxious to hear how our Nonick is doing and when she gets to go home!! Today, tomorrow?

When I talked with her mom yesterday she thought she might get to come home today. I will call her mom in a bit, just in case she is still sleeping! I will keep everyone posted.

OK I talked with nonick's mom. Apparently nonick is in a lot pain, and they are not sure if she will be coming home today. nonick has been up and walking, like you have a choice in a hospital, and according to her nothing has changed in the numbness area, unless it has gotten a bit worse. I know how nerves heal, and it is not instantly, so we all need to send our thoughts to her. I told her mom to pass along a message to her that we were all thinking of her and sent our love. I might call her mom back later today, she had a migraine when I talked her..........poor mom!!

I am so sorry to hear about the pain. I know from my dad's (pretty major) back surgery that the post-op pain can be pretty intense and all the swelling and irritation can cause symptoms to linger for a while...but once he got through it his back went back to being way better than it had in literally years and years - he used to be on narcotics pretty much every day just to get through the day and he pretty much hasn't had to take anything stronger than occasional ibuprofen since he recovered.
I will keep my fingers crossed that she gets through this bad part soon and winds up with a great result. Hang tough, nonick - you rock!

My girlfriend had back surgery and it took a while to get better also. I will keep Nonick in my thoughts. Please let her know when someone speaks with her.

I just called and no one answers at the house. Perhaps mom went to pick her up. I also did not get an answer on the cell. I will try a bit later on both and see if I can connect! I will pass along the information as usual!

I just talked to nonick's mom. She is home and just settled. She is not up to talking to people, but I will keep you informed about that topic as I get info. Apparently she is still in much pain, and mom is barricading her from being attacked by the pups!!!
