Well, anyways, I just wanted to stop by and see what was up. I've really liked what I've heard from the new album, things are really looking up! (It's about time!)

Another question, does anybody here happen to have the "Pinch My Bluegrass: A Bluegrass Tribute to Barenaked Ladies" album? I've always liked what I've heard from that album and would like to listen to the whole thing. I just bought a new iPod, so I'm really broke. Now I have to make all that money back by working, because it was graduation money.... ugh.. Oh well, at least I have an iPod! lol..

Hope everyone is doing well, busy (as always) at the ohler household... But now that school is out I can focus on work and getting ready for college.

You can get it off of Amazon fairly cheap, I am thinking around 6-8 dollars or so. I guess I never thought about iTunes, it's on there for 9.99. I ordered a case for my iPod and they sent the wrong color, so they refunded my 27 dollars today. So maybe if I ask mom reeaaallll nicely she'll "think about it." I just wanted to see if it's worth it.

I start school September 2nd, but will move in around early August. I have talked to several "prospective" roommates, some didn't work out so well... But I met this really nice girl, who seems to be financially stable, and seems like a good person. We met last week, and have been talking back and forth. I hope it goes well.

Well keeping the fingers crossed for ya Devin! Hopefully it works out for ya! I must agree I'm excited for the new stuff coming out...it seems like they're really having a ton of fun with it.

I agree Pinch My Bluegrass is a ton of fun though, I should see if mine still exists somewhere lol.

Happy Monday!!! It's kind of like a Thursday because it's a holiday on Wednesday. I just like the idea of having 2 Fridays in a week!

It is Monday, August 17th, 2009. Where the hell is everybody? I've been absent myself due to the fact that I had to truck my son around until he got his license back. But I have retired my chauffeur's hat for the moment. But no one has been on here in forever. Come on, people. I know someone must have a funny vacation story or just some news. Me, I have become tomato grower supreme. More than we can eat since two out of four of us do not like tomatoes. Maybe if I make them into salsa my son would like to try some. My daughter is on a vegetarian kick again but decided no to tell me until I noticed that she wasn't eating meat. And, no, I was not preoccupied and didn't see. She did it so subtly I didn't catch on at first. She's sneaky that way. Soon, its back to school for her. I think she's bordering on boredom and ready to see her friends on a daily basis again.

Heard about a new BNL contest involving Twitter and your favorite BNL song. Prizes look fab. Details on their web site.

I'm holding my own contest. I'm waiting to see which will die first-the refrigerator, the dryer or the stove. I'm betting on my dryer as it is making some weird sound but only when my husband is not around. Then when I tell him about it, the damn thing won't do it and my husband gives me that "Are-you-sure?" look.

I wish I could ship you some, BNLater. I'm looking for recipes to use them up so they don't go to waste. One thing is for sure, I won't be canning them. I did that every summer from the time I was twelve till I was eighteen. Been there-done that-do not want a return ticket. But I found recipes for fresh salsa, fresh tomato soup and crock-pot stewed tomatoes. So I will soon set sail to see if I can truly do the honorable tomato justice. Wish me luck.

silly I have never canned, but it does look like a great deal of work. Make huge batches of tomato soup and stewed tomatoes and then freeze them and use them all winter.

Happy chilly Monday from Vernon, BC! Woke up to -16C, but it should warm up to about -9 today! No snow yet, but it's coming I'm sure!
