since we are adopting you away from your shitty family, let's all take roles. i will be the one that gets angry and riled up quick. i am sure all of you are surprised! BAHHAHAHH
i am seeing kev at the la show soon. holy crap - next week. i will do my best to smuggle him and send him your way so he can spend some time with you on your 3 week break. i'll make sure to shove him in a box with lots of holes in it. i'll even make a sticker that says "handle with care/precious cargo" on it.
glad mom showed up! hope your sis gets her shit together so she can help you out on testing thursday next week!

Haha thanks for that nonick, I'll have to remember that!
Umm, let's see...I'm quite enjoying the chemo break. I'd like a break from everything but you win some you lose some. Right now still having radiation therapy. I'm on fire, and still nauseated and dizzy, but all in all I feel better than with the chemo lol. Depression has settled in so I haven't been on here as much as I'd like. On the other stuff, here and there, but doing my best to come on here too because it's so much fun! I think the lack of knowing etc has been hard, so going to be changing that. Next Thursday, after time and time again of them being pushed back, I have all of my tests. I'm not leaving till they are done every last one I don't care lol.
What else is happening in kevfanland? Woohoo that's fun to say! I'm loving not having stress from school. That's nice. Today I almost got taken out in my car by an idiot kid driver beside me...I was doing about 45km/h he was doing about 60, and swerved into my lane to go around someone turning and I was right beside him. Almost ran me into a parked car. Mmm kevfan sandwich lol. He ended up about an inch from my car. That would have been interesting. I now know that my breaks and horn work quite well. I also learned that hard breaking equals head slamming into head rest in car and giving me an awesome case of whiplash and a concussion. So I'm up still, was hoping to be in bed by 9pm but alas must stay up until 11pm. Need to make sure I'll wake up in the morning lol.
Also, to add a nice twist to my situation, one of my close friends here is likely in the process of being diagnosed with a brain tumour. She has no family or anything, so caregiver duties seem to be falling to me. But she knows my situation at least, and we're going to try to work something out where we can help each other. This is going to be interesting. But I will do my best to help where I can.
i'm doing my best to keep you all updated, hope you don't mind my breaks in communication *hangs head in shame* lol. Hope everyone is doing amazing!
Oh yeah, and I hope you all enjoy this post. It is a work of art that took 3 hours to write. Because my stupid computer erased it 4 times. So after 3 times I posted something else and wrote this in notepad and saved it so it couldn't do it anymore. Awesome!!! Rock on everyone lol.

kevfan thanks for the update. While we like to keep track of all of us, we certainly understand that at times you will be away from us for some time. I am glad you are enjoying your time off school. Sorry to hear about the idiot that failed to pay attention to his surroundings..........that is always hard to swallow. We will be keeping all appendages crossed for the outcome of your tests, and sending all of our healing thoughts your way. Remember as your friend needs your assistance that YOU come first!!!! I hope that your weekend is filled with relaxation and perhaps some fun thrown in!

Hope things get better for you soon kevfan. You were lucky with the near car crash, that's scary. It's almost like slow motion when something like that happens, hey?

Definitely is almost like slow motion! Wow it did suck. Whiplash major symptoms almost gone, thank goodness. Still having radiation right now. One more week without chemo. I am enjoying the break-type thing lol. It's nice to have one less thing to worry about, even if it is only for a little while. My apologies for the week absence. I just have been an emotional trainwreck so couldn't really be on the computer much other than for quick facebook/twitter checks and updates. I'm going to try to be better this week.
On the plus side, I bought a new purse today. It's bright blue! Yay! I likes it lol. I tried to convince my parents to buy me a ticket to go see Kevin, but as expected that didn't work. Oh how I want to go lol. Buuuut I'm also too sick to travel right now anyway so probably best.
Had all of my tests, finally. Still waiting to go and get results on the bonemarrow stuff, but the CT, PET, EEG, all that fun stuff is done. Just the MRI to be rescheduled...again...for Monday. Hopefully will have results by Wednesday, and have an official idea of whether things are improving, etc. Pray, cross your fingers, kiss your rabbit feet, whatever you need to do to will my body for good results! Hehe
Hope everyone has a rockin awesome weekend. No one around these parts right now cuz there's the country jamboree (yee haw) just outside of town and everyone's out there drinking and camping. It's nice and quiet for a change lol.
Rock on everyone!

kevfan, all of my kick stupid cancer's ass vibes are speeding toward you, followed by the GOOD NEWS vibes!!!!
By the way, Flock of Seagulls perhaps should have kept their fame from the 80s and gone on. The lead singer now looks like Mario Batali!! Have any of you heard of Gene Loves Jezebel? Ummmm I hadn't, and really wished I had not heard them play Saturday night. The Motels were good though and Terry Nunn and Berlin can still rock it.

HAHAHAHAHA great BNLater...that was awesome Hang in there DH, things will all fall in to place soon enough As for me, it's been a really really shitty couple of weeks. As of this past Monday I started chemo again and it hasn't been pleasant to say the least. Since I've been having a hard time putting it into words, I've typed up an email that I can send to some of the people close to me, and now I send to you... Okay...here goes. This isn't easy so bear with me. I hope it makes sense. It is with heavy heart and true devastation that I am typing this. I'm having a tough time verbalizing it so I'm writing. I went for all of my tests to see if anything had progressed or come up since the proper treatment started in May. Had a CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound, etc. The hammer all came down yesterday morning. I originally had lesions on my hip bones, femurs and lower spine. I was expected to develop a few more during treatment but nothing major. Well, got all my results and the lesions have spread throughout my spine, ribcage and upper arms. There's also small lesions starting to appear on my skull. The cancer is also starting to spread into my kidneys and liver. There are also signs of it spreading to the lymph nodes throughout my abdomen. I have been told unless something drastic changes I have 8 months to a year at best. I hate when they try to put a time on things, but I understand they're just telling me what they think. Hence why we go to get "opinions". This isn't the first time I've been given a prognosis like this, and I'm still here. But it's still devastating to hear all of this when I've been fighting so hard. It's just spreading so quickly. And because of the ill health that my body is in, I don't qualify for a marrow transplant still. I wouldn't survive it. I'm still taking time to digest all of this information. I start chemo again on Monday. It's a really scary time for me right now. I'm not sure what the chemotherapy regimen will be yet, I know we'll be discussing that. Likely will stay similar, with a few changes to see if we can get it to work. Radiation was supposed to continue this week, but after hearing the news I took Thurs/Fri off to just reflect. Full steam ahead come Monday. I have been encouraged to keep working if I don't have many side effects. Luckily, I'm pretty good at the side effect game. I get a few bad days, but mostly it's relatively clear sailing. It's the permanent damage like the brain fog that I really suffer from! Lindz I'm doing my best to stay positive, it's not easy but it's getting better. I was quite the Negative Nancy but slowly it's getting better. Sorry for the delay in updating. I PROMISE I will come on here at least once a week from now on lol. Hope everyone's doing fantastic otherwise
