Chinese??!!! That is awsome Burnt! I am a pharmacist and at least here it is a relatively Chinese dominant profession, that would really help me out! I think they do say that about children, supposedly they will not have an accent when they speak it, not like if I learned it now, that is so cool to have a second language. Good luck!

Looks like I owe everyone a big thanks!
I passed. They didn't make me parallel (sp?) park, which I'm glad for because I usually end up parking a foot and a half away from the curb.
My mother and I went to Wal Mart after and she bought me a little thing to hook up my iPod to the car. When we got home I went to take the car for a spin, and found out that I needed something completely different instead. So I was flipping through the radio, a bit angry because I wanted to rock out to some good music and.. On comes Old Apartment!! I was elated.
I got all the necessary parts, hooked everything up in the Radio Shack parking lot and then took my sister and brother out for a spin and ice cream to celebrate.

Well done Burnt!! I'm all a quiver! Leaving 2mor and I can't wait but I'm really nervous about meeting my housemates, I just hope we get on. I find some comfort in the fact that everyone is in the same boat but I still feel on my own and lost

If only, BNLater. If only. I'm trying to be half way respectful of asking to use the parent's car so I can be sure to get it when I absoultely need it. ...Of course, this is only day two of having the license, so we'll see how much restraint I have later on. (I'm using it tomorrow to get some job applications filled out though.)

CONGRATULATIONS BURNT!
I have a friend that went to a German preschool when she was younger and knew A LOT of german (well, as much as anyone can know when they're 3 or 4) but all she can remember now is one song... so if you learn it early and practice is the key, I think. Hmm... didn't take my Spanish test, I wasn't ready and I'm an exception in my class because I skipped a level, French was easy as pieeeee, the Math wasn't that hard, there was no Chem test but there was a History test but that was easy.
It's harder for me to speak a foreign language if I'm speaking on someone who is on a different level than I am. Which makes it hard if I'm trying to speak to someone who knows it fluently... but I try.
