This is pretty random, but it's something that's been bugging me the last couple days, and no one on LiveJournal has been able to figure it out, so I will give it a shot here.
A year or two ago I saw this TV show on cable. I think it was on SciFi. It was a show similar to The Outer Limits, but more horror, less sci-fi. It was NOT one of the well-known ones. Not OL, not the Twilight Zone nor Tales From The Crypt... It was something I'd never heard of until I was channel-surfing and landed on it, and I'm quite a fan of these shows. Not Masters of Horror, either, though it was airing during the same time period, because I remember my dad and I discussing stuff we'd been watching and both coming up. It was fairly new, made in the late 90s at the earliest, I'd say. The acting and effects were decent, better than most shows of the genre, if I recall correctly.
The episode that I remember (I only saw two or three, at the most) involved a guy, an officer on a ship going from, I think, Russia to the US. He discovers these stowaways. They're in some hidden part of the ship, trapped somehow, and something is picking them off, killing and eating them one by one. The guy tries to help, goes to the captain, who tells him basically to mind his own business. In the end, it turns out that the 'stowaways' are not people at all, but creatures being shipped in for government use (I think). They eat flesh -- any flesh (that might be an actual line from the show), and they've gotten hungry stuck on the ship and started eating each other. Of course, officer guy ends up being the next meal at the very end.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I can't believe I'm having such a hard time finding it!
