You didn't like As Good As It Gets? Oh NO! I think that movie is one of my favorites, I have it on DVD and VHS. Man is an ass. Man is forced to interact with animal. Man suddenly sees that humanity has value. I think I love it because anyone that loves an animal can't be all bad and this movie confirms my opinion. Witches of Eastwick I like for the female stars as much as the male. And yes, Verdell was adorable. I have never been a small dog fan but he is a cutie. I wouldn't mind a small dog if they were that cute. When he was hopping over the cracks in the sidewalk it was A-DOR-ABLE.

Annabelle seems to think that you should like more little dogs...

I had not "met" Annabelle when As Good As It Gets convinced me that small dogs could be as cute, if not cuter, than large dogs. Verdell convinced me, Annabelle proved it with 'tude.
She is a cutie. I'm tellin' ya, I just might have a small dog one day now. If ya can't kill 'em with your size, smack 'em with your 'tude... or some such thing.
That first picture says it all, doesn't it?

I am not a small dog fan, although I grew up with Miniature Schnauzers. But my little man is LITTLE by dog standards, and I love him to pieces. Of course he is only little because he is stuck in that body.

Out of the hundreds of pictures I have of that dog, that first one is my favorite. She doesn't often give me that kind of attitude though, a) I don't stand for it, and b) she loves me too much to stay mad at me. My friend Steph actually took the photo and I just think that look is priceless. She really is capable of being sweetie though, contrary to what that expression says!
And I vote that you should get a small dog, surprising! They are so fun in so many different ways than big dogs. I love just about every breed, big and small, but I don't think I could live without a lap dog!

nonick Belle is a cutie and has a great personality, but to me is not a typical little dog. I do not love all breeds, as there are some that are just too stupid for me to deal with. I love a smart dog, no matter what the size. One that reasons and will push the envelope..........they can be trying, but that is what makes them special! I have two lap dogs............Cin loves to lay on top of me!

I think she has the typical personality of the breed though, maybe not all little dogs. But all the shih tzus we've had were small on size and big on personality, i.e. stubborn.
Okay, perhaps I should clarify... because if we're being technical then we have two "lap dogs" as well... I couldn't live without a small dog that fits nice and gently in your lap while they sleep. As opposed to a big "lap dog" that wants so badly to be on your lap that they will get there at any cost to any of your body parts and making you say at least once in the process, "Ohhh, that's gonna bruise...."

I guess that it is why there are so many different breeds, so that everyone can have one they like. I would got for a great dane or mastiff over a small dog any day. I love Bonz would never own two shibas at once.
