We always give out chocolate. Baby Ruths, 100,000 bars, Milky Ways, Butter Fingers... all the good stuff. We won't have many of the smaller kids, but the teens don't care and the vans that are full of kids from other neighborhoods won't care. I really like Halloween.

I wish I was creative iled, then I'd decorate a bit. But I'm not. I'm hoping my brother finds time today to buy and carve a pumpkin for me. I'm worried I'll slice off my fingers if I do it. He then said, well, are you at least going to draw wht you want carved on it? I can't even draw a stick figure, so no!
I'm giving out mini chocolate bars. Only bought a hundred, I don't usually get alot of kids.
And I have a rotator cuff injury iled. I had a strain from repetetive motion at work, then I tore it in my car accident last year and it's just not healing. I've done massage and physio for it. It's a wait and see thing, I also should have taken more time off of work after my accident. It's all good. Much better today!

Jess, I too procrastinated on the pumpkin. My store is sold out so I might check out Superstore this am and see. Troy was at the Flames game last night and I was working (I wanted him to do the dirty work!) so if I do it I am on my own this am. I just said the other day that I really like our Halloween decorations. Our mantle has mostly stuff the kids made in Kindergarten and grade 1 and I have some lights and a few things outside. I like it almost as much as Christmas......almost!
modified to add - mmmmmmm 100,000 dollar bars, perhaps your best bar!

Superstore here only had severely deformed ones left, but I suppose I shouldn't discriminate! Besides, warped deformed ones might be scarier Hopefully my bro gets one today.

Oh, and I LOVE Christmas. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! I don't want to rush it, but I'm looking forward to it, especially with my nephews being older and understanding it a bit more.

I would love to decorate a bit for Halloween, but this year it was not in the cards. Maybe next year. Christmas is our season as Bob collects Santas. This year I hope to get the majority out and on display. I know that I want to get the curios in their final resting places on Saturday, then I can begin to fill them. At least one will have Santas all year long. We rotate them about once a year so that all of this favorites get to be displayed!!! I am thinking we need at least two trees this year, one in the family room and one in the front window! We might even get lights on the outside of the house this year. I have already purchased wreaths and flameless candles for the windows!

To those procrastinating pumpkin people... you can always paint your pumpkin. It is faster, cleaner, and you don't have to worry about cutting off a finger!! Here is mine that I painted a couple weeks ago.... <sigh>

Yep, many many months at least. I think the last one I painted didn't even start to lose moisture until the following spring!

Yep, my sister in law used to paint hers for Halloween and then cook them for pies at Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I HATE COLLEGE APPLICATIONS.
i thought you should know.
other than that, i was snow white today for halloween, and i ate lots of goodies.
but i've been working on apps all night, and word limits on essays are the worst, because they are all different, so i have to write like a ton because it seems like i can never cut it down to size. ugh.

jane I remember doing college apps, although I did not do many of them. I had a small number of universities I had any desire to attend. Law school applications were like marathon sessions, and again I only submitted a limited number.
