Everytime I see the title of this thread, I hear the Eagles singing Tequila Sunrise. Is that weird?

Nope, they look pretty, but taste nasty in my opinion.

I can't do tequila. One bad experience at 19 turned me off for life.

Tequila makes me 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Srsly.
Gin isn't bad, but it is a different high than vodka or something else. We have martini parties sometimes with different olives. It's a lot of fun. Blue cheese olives are the favorite by far. You have to have VERY small martinis and LOTS of food. We normally have a lot more designated drivers at a martini party than a regular party. They kick your butt before you know what happened.

I love martinis, but I always have vodka martinis. Not a fan of gin. And I loooooove different kinds of olives in my martinis... personally I think a really good anchovy stuffed olive is the best!! But the cheese ones are also excellent.... Actually, I really love the jalepeno stuffed green olives too... Fabulous. Now I want a martini!!

Come on over! In the fridge I have almond stuffed, jalapeno stuffed, garlic stuffed, and traditional. I always use traditional and stuff them with my own cheese (blue and feta) because the cheese taste is stronger. Mmmmm
Never tried the anchovy stuffed before. I guess I will have to look around, or do you make your own?

Nope, buy them just about anywhere. We even have the Kroger brand of them, which are pretty good, and they also sell them at the State Liquor stores.

Our state liquor store sells NOTHING but liquor, wine and the fully leaded version of beer. No chiller, no mixers, no sodas. Nothing.
When I first moved to Utah I went into the liquor store. I was a little crampish and a little grouchy and I just wanted a cool bottle of wine so I could go home and have a glass and relax. When I asked the lady where the cooler was she almost bit my head off and directed me to the grocery store when I could "buy beer if I needed something cold and alcoholic" I will never forget that. In Texas they sell glasses of ice at the DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW so you don't have to make the long drive home before starting your drinking. Talk about a 180 in attitudes.

10 cents a cup, baybee! And they offer it to you like they were McDonalds.
"Did'cha need a cupppa ice with that?"
It adds a level of truth to that joke, What are the words from a Texas redneck? "Hold my beer and watch this."

When my parent first moved to Louisiana it was legal to drink alcohol and drive at the same time, and they had their drive thru dacquari stands.

It's insane the things people used to do. I remember when there wasn't an open container law in Texas. Drivers would just pass their beer to the passenger if they got pulled over. *face palm*
