not really... the Quebec government replaced grade 12 by what we call "cégeps" or colleges, which is usually two year and is a step into the specialization that usually comes in university. For example, someone going into Languages in university will take two years in a Language & Literature program in college...
that's about as clear as I can get... is it understandable?

Is it mandatory? Is a university program then 3 years instead of four to get a bachelor's degree?

I'm actually in the Social Sciences, which include economics, sociology, psychology, history, political science, geography, etc etc... I don't know much about the others though, but the languages include German, Spanish, Latin, and some others that I can't remember atm... The other profiles are pure and applied sciences (cemistry, physics...), creative arts, and libreal arts (a mix of subjects I believe) I'm unemployed for the moment, as I have to concentrate on my studies... former jobs were paperboy for the local newspaper and tourist guide on a historic site... this summer I might work for the town, dunno doing what yet, or go back to the guide job which was fun... and hopefully my studies will lead me to a job as a lawyer later on. ...so that's me in brief What do you work as BNLater? (and everyone else for that matter)

Today is going to be a good day. Let me tell you why....Yesterday I went to my parents house to pick up some boxes I had stored there. We're having a yard sale in a couple of weeks so I wanted to get rid of some stuff that i wasn't using. So, I'm looking throught the boxes that my ex-husband packed up when I moved out. I haven't opened some of them because there was really no need and I didn't care what was in them. Well, last night when I was routing through I found a Royal Doulton Bride and Groom figurine that his Aunt gave us as a wedding present. he was the one who divided our stuff because I was long gone before he moved back to Ontario so he would have put it in there. Well, the jack ass reneged on paying his half of the divorce like he was supposed to so guess what is now on ebay?? I know that sounds evil and not nice, but HA! It made me smile!
