Okay, so last night I got home about 1:30 from the Taylor Hicks concert and it was AMAZING! Okay, so I could sit here and give you every single detail, but I'll be sure not to bore you too much with that!
Alrighty.... So, when we first got there there was this huge line down the street since the doors didn't open until 7 and we got there about a quarter 'til. When we finally got in, it didn't seem there was near as many people there as it looked like, and we were about 10 feet away from Taylor! He put on an amazing performance, and I would go see him again in a heartbeat!
So, after the show, they threw out drumsticks. I saw one coming towards the people in front of me, and they dropped up and I grabbed it off the floor! What makes this even cooler is, it is the drumstick Taylor was hitting the cowbell with.. not one of the drumsticks the drummer used!
To finish my story off, we went outside and looked through the gates at his tour bus... before I knew it, somebody was saying.. "He's right there!" (Which was weird because we didn't even see him coming out of the doors) And he was already going through the line and signing autographs. I got my drumstick autographed, and my friend got her ticket stub signed! I brought the cd.. but after catching the drumstick, I thought it would be cooler to have it signed. it was my friends first concert, and I think it was a pretty cool experience for her.
So, there you go. Hope I didn't bore you too much! I'm gonna look at my photos tonight.. I spent alot of time taking them! Maybe if I have some good ones, I'll put some on here.

That is fantastic, Devin!! Who could be "bored" at that story? Sounds like you had a great time and I'm really happy for you!!

Ahhh.. thank you! I was so happy... It seems very surreal. I only wish I "took it in" more than I did, I tried getting alot of photos and stuff, which is always fun... But I leave and I feel like I should have spent more time just watching and living in that moment, because he only sang for about and hour and a half. All in all, I had a great time, and an experience I will never forget... Even though it doesn't quite live up to my BNL experience!

yay I can't tell you the last time the alarm actually woke me up, probably close to 20 years, unless I was sick. The purpose of the alarm is to irritate me I think, as my hubby hits snooze for the 10th time!

Sounds like a good time Devin! Hey, did he do mostly original material? Or did he do some covers?
I'm up before my alarm clock goes off 99% of the time. I set it just in case.

He did mostly original material, including music from his first two albums that he had before American Idol. He sang "Just Another Brick", and I was very surprised and excited that he played that! I think that was my moms favorite part...

I have never in my life gotten up before my alarm. I have to set it on weekends so I don't sleep ALL day. Today I woke up to my alarm... but only because it went off so early. *yawn* Early training class today. Blah.

Happy Wednesday, everyone.
So... It's been a couple days since I last posted, on account of how busy I've been. I just started my Drivers' Ed class last night, and I have that again tonight and tomarrow, and next week as well. It's really boring, and nothing is worse than trying to remain focused on such a boring subject for 4 and a half hours straight.

It's a sleepy Wednesday for me today... Could barely keep my eyes open for the first part of the morning, and the Tape from Hell didn't help matters any. Thankfully I just finished that... Anyhoo, kind of a cloudy/foggy day here today after having a line of strong storms move through the area last night about 6pm. I think it's supposed to be nice the rest of the week and through the weekend though, so that will be good... Anyhoo...
Happy Wednesday everyone!!
