Can't wait for summer... It's gonna be a good one!

Very cool Devin. When I was in school in Ohio we did not get out until mid-June. The school out here are all over the board on when they are out for the summer, and of course there are tons of year round schools so that is not a big thing at all. I hope your summer is great and fun and relaxing and fun filled.

Yeah Devin, enjoy! Summer off is about the only consistently cool thing I remember about being in school. I'm trying to get some minor repairs finished up at the old house. We're in Nashvegas this weekend for a graduation, then out the entire week of the 4th taking the 2 graduating nephews to Tahoe and San Fran. We close on the 11th so time is a wastin!

Hey Guys,
I colored my hair for years. I finally decided to stop and while it grew out I looked like a skunk! Big white stripe with auburn on the ends. My daughter colors her hair and I try to tell her that it's a pain to let it grow out, but that is what being young is for I guess. I don't know how many know me, but my hair reaches my waist and is gray, silver and various shades of autumn that haven't changed over yet, I am quite gray.
Kent and I aren't have a Memorial Day party for the first time in years. We have one of the big smokers with the fire box on the side where you cook with smoke and indistinct heat. We normally use Mesquite (says the Texas girl) but we have pruned so many fruit trees we may smoke with fruit wood and just have the family over.
Y'all have a great weekend!

You two surprising. BTW you have beautiful hair. I would never have the patience to care for that length, but the color is wonderful.

Me either, but more power to ya, surprising! I think the most important part though is that your hair is healthy. There is nothing worse than someone that won't give up their long hair when it is completely unhealthy and all split ends and fried and.... *shudder* I just prefer to keep my short to avoid all that. My hair was au naturale on the cruise too, but I find that boring (not to mention gray), so now I'm very reddish, and I like it!

Back to the hair talk again. I am going to cut a bit more off at my next appointment. I'll just work on it slowly. I just can't do a damn thing with it. It's too heavy, so the natural curl goes wacky, it's too long to straighten (my arms get tired), and I keep mopping up tons off hair off my bathroom floor.
I too like red. Multiple shades! You do have great hair surprising!

Thanks guys. I am glad my hair is like it is because it is the easiest hair I have ever had! I only wash it and go. No blow drying, no styling, no curling. I am so lazy this is the perfect solution. If it's dirty I put it up but I wash it every other day and condition it with super duper conditioner. I just cut two inches off because it was starting to tangle and that was enough to take care of it. I don't think I could go back to a style that had to be dried and curled, too much work! My granddaughter used to call me blond, but now she calls my hair white. So funny.
I guess the worst part if having to cut the hair off of the beater bar on the vacuum every couple of uses, it get wrapped around there and the brush won't turn anymore. Oh well, with all the furry babies it would have to be done anyway.

surprising I am with you on the upkeep and hair issue. My style, I wash finger in some lift stuff and go. It can't be easier. If it gets funky, I spritz it with water to reactive the curl and go!

See, if I had enough curl in my hair that would work! I love easy!
As a teenager I got up two HOURS before I had to leave for school so I could make my hair perfect. Remember the Farah? Yeah.
Now I look back and wonder... what was I thinking???
I love being comfortable with who I am. What a relief!

surprising I have never done stuff to my hair, but then again I don't wear makeup either....I can't be bothered and what is the purpose. I don't naturally have the curl that I have!

I am thinking of doing whats is called creamy hazelnut which is 4 shades of brown with blond...I've seen photos and it looks really way out without going too way out - need to discuss with hairdresser to see if it suits me, then get it done...

Well... we meet again Wednesday.... amazingly enough, you remind me remarkably like last Wednesday...
Although it's back to being hot again. I think it's supposed to be in the mid-nineties today and it was HUMID when I left for work this morning. I sure hope it doesn't stay like this for the rest of the summer...
