Monday of a short week!!! You bet your ass I'm in love with you! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was fine... hell froze over when I joined Facebook and started actually using MySpace as well... my space. Did anyone else notice the chill in the air? ;D Everyone excited for the holiday? All ready for being bombarded with food and family?

Oh, that's tonight BNLater! Have fun! What do your dinner plans consist of? Wow, after reading nonick's post, I suddenly need a sweater It's the US Thanksgiving this week! Lucky people with your short weeks! I'm working thsi Saturday. I'm praying some people cancel to shorten my day a bit. We shall see. I probably shouldn't wish for such things as I need the extra $$$ this month. Well, I also shouldn't complain because I'm sitting here enjoying my third day off in a row, still in my PJ's at 10 am. I was thinking of going to the gym, but I'm still in pain from Saturdays class. And I really need to practice piano. And pay my utility bill. And go to the bank. And get groceries. Hmmmmmm, not so much of a day off really, is it, ok, back to belly aching then! No no, you all have a wonderful Monday!

Sounds great, BNLater! Hope you have a fantastic time. Wish I were in my PJ's...have had Linnea sick with croup for the last 5 days or so and I am a bit sleep-deprived (sitting in steamy bathrooms in the middle of the night). But she seems better today, glory hallelujah! I am actually on Facebook as some nice folks friended me, but have never even ventured in the door at MySpace.

Oh poor Linnea! Hope she's feeling better soon. My brother's were hospitalized with that when they were 4, had to be in oxygen tents and everything, it was so scary. And it was over Halloween, and I remember they dressed the kids up and had them trick or treat in the hospital. Ah, memories.
BTW, I'm out of my pj's now all showered and dressed with tears of frusteration over a piece of music I can't get down properly, why do I do this to myself.

Breath deeply Jessica. Get a nice cup of tea, and take a break for the piece. Attempting to perfect it while aggravated is not beneficial!

<cheers for Jessica> Let it settle for a few, then try again. I am big on the cup of tea idea, too. Luckily Linnea was nowhere near that bad, but she is pretty sick and tired of being sick and tired. Feeling much better today though, and actually went outside to play. School tomorrow for her! Oh, and by the way, Bridget's play was last weekend, and it was *fantastic*.

Oh, I was oofline for a week and haven't caught up on the boards yet, what play did she do and how big was her part? Glad it went well!
I'm about to make some tea. I'm so desperate to play he piano fluently, but damn, it's hard! I'm calm now.

Well, it's hard Dragon. Very tough to lear piano as an adult. It takes alot of practice and a big invest of time and money. But I'm determined to learn it. I'll probably be 75 and still taking lessons, but damnit, I'm going to do it!

Good for you, Jessica. I bought the music to the movie, "The Piano" so I could try to learn to play it. It is the "piano for dummies" version but it is still more than I have been willing to tackle. Kent learns to do new things all the time, and he works on them every day. I think about learning something new and then decide naaawwww..... never mind. Too much work! I am a lazy buggar. I think it's wonderful you are learning. I will have to put you on my list of "people I would love to emulate." I agree with everyone else. Relax and let it absorb. If you have been working on it then it is in your mind, it needs time to find its level. Breathe, drink tea and try again. Speaking of piano, anyone else love the movie, "The Piano" as much as I do?

Thanks surprising. I tend to get a little emotional and frusterated when pmsing! The tea was a brilliant suggestion. And at my lesson on Monday, my teacher told me I picked a rather difficult piece to try and learn, so that made me feel better! Wow, emulate ME??!!?? That's a first! I'm touched! I think I might cry! Damn pms

Oops, missed your question about Bridget, Jessica...she was Rosalind in "As You Like It." Shakespeare in middle school sounds ridiculous, but they have this incredibly good drama teacher. She had 180 lines (it's Shakespeare's biggest female part) and she nailed it.
It's good to have an outlet for that dramatic streak. I wonder where she got that......? <ponders>
