I've never heard of it either - but I will check it out online later!
Did the Toureag poop out, or is the reason for the change because of the recent visits for servicing the problem? I don't remember what the problems were?

The Touareg is fine....BUT having to replace the drive shaft at less than 40,000 miles is certainly a big factor, and the cost of upkeep alone is BIG!

Very cool. One of my former neighbors has the black! I would think that the cost of upkeep for this would be comparable?

I don't think so. I know that the cost of upkeep on my Jeep, Xterra, and Axtec were nothing like the Touareg. I think that is because VW considers it a luxury vehicle....I mean a standard 40,000 mile service is about $900 at the dealer.....DANG!

OUCH! Well, that's a great thing on what looks like a great car (the FJ). It's so exciting to get a new car!!! Lots of room for dogs!

Ok, what you need is a little girl scout troop! LOL. I like mid-sized cars, and will probably have one until either I can afford an SUV-type (mostly gasoline related!)or until the kids are gone! Interpretation - a loooong time! I would've like to have bought an Accord, but that will wait too. Getting psyched for the weekend!

Told, what I meant was what time should I be there for dinner, you know, crab legs!!!
Speaking of maintenance on vehicles, my cruise control wasn't working so I took it in and they said the part would be covered under warranty and then they said they put that part in and that didn't solve the problem so they had to fly another part in and today they called and said that part was NOT covered so 400 bucks later I will have cruise control again. Not sure how the exteded warranties work but I am not too impressed with Honda at the moment!!

Ahhhh aren't cars terrific!! !!! How many miles on the car iled? The extended warranty is usually through another company....and I would go and read the policy and perhaps write a letter inquiring about the coverage.

iled,
Come on over! We'll cook you up a good ole' east coast seafood dinner! Just jump on the plane first thing tomorrow morning! Anyone else? Corn on the cob and maybe some potato salad too!
I read my warranty and even called the company several times. Each time there was some small clause that weaseled the company out of covering my problems. That's why I went to Honda. I have a fresh new car, and hopefully I won't have to do much except maintain for a while now. I bought the extended warranty (yes, probably another company), but I can't remember much off the top of my head!
Tomorrow is US v Italy in the world cup, so we'll be hanging around and will have the Flanagans over to watch. They are one of the last homes in the states that have 3 kids who are home-schooled and also have NO TELEVISION! So they are coming over to enjoy our 800 channels of digital high-def cable on our 55" tv. LMAO.
