Jessica Hootie was terrific. The audiences.............ummm rude for the first one and two obnoxious idiots for the second. But Darius and Mark and the gang sounded great. BTW Darius is doing a solo country album............and NO I will not be buying that one. Mark is going to be traveling with Cowboy Mouth for a bit too. Just in case anyone cares!

Tomorrow is Dr. Sexy's birthday so I traded my Wednesday afternoon with the kids for Thursday. It should be a lot of fun.
I went to Costco to pick up a few things (like a cheesecake for Kent's birthday... yuuummmmmm) and they told me how much I spent there last year. (Trying to upgrade my membership).
Oy vey.
So, what's everyone else up to?

surprising that is not a nice thing to do at all! I really do not want to know what I spent at either Costco or Sams Club last year!
Ahhhh cheesecake. You have people over or just a special dessert for the two of you?

Tomorrow is the "official" day. We are going to have Miranda and the kids here. I normally make the birthday person's meal of choice on "their" day, but with "I need to be held every single minute, Mr. Vincent Scott" here I won't have time to do bupkis. I had told Miranda the other day she needed to make a chicken divan. She was trying to think of what to do with her leftovers. Madelyn loves broccoli and swiss cheese. I make my divan with swiss. Miranda made the "yeah, yeah" comments but I don't know that she would try it. I am going to make a divan tomorrow morning, with lots of swiss, and then I can just pop it in the oven without having to "cook." Kent isn't thrilled, although he likes divan, but we will do steaks this weekend. This way Miranda can try it and know it's worth making at home. It's so easy.
Kent had never had Chicken Divan before. I didn't think anyone that got married in the 70's could claim that. I think it's one of those meals that just screams 70's food to me. Anyone else?
The cheesecake is for everyone, which is a good thing. If I had the whole thing at home without help eating it, we could eat the whole thing at home. Srsly. Dangerous stuff.
BNLater, if you see them scan your card with one of the hand held little card readers and then see their eyes almost pop out of their head, you will know they have just seen your buying history. Just an FYI.

surprising I would love the recipe for Chicken Divan, I don't think I have had that for years and years. It sounds easy enough to do after work, or at least heat up after work! And you can't go wrong with swiss cheese!
I hope the birthday goes wonderfully, and I am sure steaks this weekend will be yummy too.
That is why I get funny looks from the checkers there! At least I know it isn't because I am dressed funny!

I actually make mine with the rice already in it. I am a one pan kind of girl. I will post the recipe soon. It's too easy. Madelyn loved it. She wishes it had mushrooms, but we can't have everything.
