A good cause....?

So I did it. I was going to get my hair trimmed today... but instead I decided to be a rebel and cut twelve inches off.

It was so SCARY. The guy just snipped it off and waved it around the salon. It was funny though, because all these ladies were watching.

I have virgin hair, meaning I don't color it or beat it in any way, so they (locks of love) should accept it. Now I have to figure out how to send it, though.

My hair's so short... I might go insane. I miss my hair...

i would do it, but if i cut my hair that short again bfBrian will kill me... he hates me having short hair... and i've gotten used to it long...

I cut my hair for a lot of reasons. It was starting to hurt my neck. And it was getting annoying...just the other day I got it in the onion dip. Yuck!

But I also did it to spite my ex boyfriend. Not that he'd care. But the rebel in me was like, okay, cut it because he loved it. I need to get over him anyway, so I figured cutting my hair might help. Besides, I feel beautiful now and I didn't before soo..that's a start?

I've found that guys don't like short hair. They really really like long hair. And yet it's not fair for us to want it short on them? That's my feminist side... I don't care, whatever looks good on them but..damn. It's not fair!

(For the record, my ex was growing out his hair...and he was allowed to do anything. He said dredlocks and I made a face but he could have done it if he wanted to...)

It's different, I know. But go to the web page and see the difference you have just made in some little kid's life. That's someone's daughter, son, sister, brother, grandchild.... and you helped them!

Good job! That's something that I've always thought would be really cool to do. Unfortunately, my hair lost its "virginity" when I was about 19 (it sucks to have premature grays) and I keep my hair fairly short, having lost patience for long hair long ago.

I agree with you about boys though, it seems they're more in love with the physical hair than with how you look in it. Another thing that I've found when my hair is short, mainly right after you get it cut, people start to think that it suddenly means you like members of the same sex. There's nothing wrong with that, but really, what the heck does your hair length have to do with who you date? Anyhoo, that's my vent for now!

nonick you are right on the money there. I prefer shorter hair on me, first because it looks better, and two because I am lazy and with baby fine hair it being long will kill you. The first time I met my husband's ex she told him I must be a lesbian. Geeeesh!!! And the fascination men have with long hair...what is that??!!!

I have no clue what the fascination is. I, like you, look much better with short hair. I used to think, say back in high school, that long hair was more feminine, but the only thing I ever did with it was pull it back in a pony tail because it drove me crazy!

A funny story though about men experiencing long hair for themselves... After the Cleveland Peep Show, the four of us (me, my sister, and two of my male friends) went back to my dorm/apt. and had a mini-party. During this party, one of the males (after 1 or 2 or an entire 6 pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade) decided to put on my sister's Halloween hot fuchia colored wig and wear it around for the rest of the night. After a couple of hours with it on, getting the pink plastic hair stuck on his face and in his mouth as he was tossing it around, he had an amazing revelation stating, "Man, having long hair really SUCKS!" Brilliance at work; I thought it was pretty funny though, and oddly enough BNL related!

Ahh!!! I found a guy who doesn't think so. My friend says he doesn't like insanely long hair on girls. So hey, there's hope!

He's nice. I'm trying to get him to join but he keeps saying he'll try to find the time to and what not..but he hasn't yet, because he's lazy.
