I always wonder to myself, "Who came up with this crap and what good does it do for me?"
My teacher has made me sick of math. Period. But I just have to remember I don't have to take a math next year... So as long as I can get through this one...

I love math! Love it! Math and science were always my favourites. Especially algebra. Finite though, most useless math ever! I'm sad to hear you won't be taking it next year Devin Hey, it's Friday! How excited is everyone? What are people's plans for the weekend? I'm working tomorrow until 12 noon. I think Laura and I are going to grab a bite to eat and see a movie. I haven't gotten together with her in a long time School and work and extracurricular activities have put a damper on my social life. That and an extreme lack of energy the last few months. If the weather is nice Sunday, might be time for some yard clean up, we'll see. Anyone else? Have a great day folks!

I don't have any plans for today, or for the weekend. Just SSDD Jessica, you should enjoy talking to my husband. Linear Algebra is his area of interest and what he did his PhD thesis on. He reads books that have more math writing than words. I will "read aloud" to him sometimes.... "parenthesis around 2 with an upper little two times weird A plus curvy x parenthesis" It is a hoot! I don't even know what all the symbols mean but even after my "reading" to him he can tell me what I just said. So funny. I love smart, nerdy guys that wear glasses.

Alegbra to me was like a puzzle that I had to solve. Now geometry and Calc did nothing for me at all. Thank heaven I did not need much math in college!!
surprising your reading aloud to your hubby reminds me of when I was helping my oldest brother type (yes on a typewriter) his dissertation. He is a biochemist and it was like typing in some foreign language. It was very slow going because you had to remove the regular ball from the Selectic and put on the scientific one anytime you needs a symbol, which was like every other word!

I remember the balls on the Selectric's! I didn't know they made a scientific one, but that would make sense. We had some forms that needed an elite font, some needed a pica font... oye. At least that was for the whole form, but it was still a pain in the side. I can't even imagine having to change for one little symbol. What a pain in the caboose.
Kent keeps telling me that I would like math if I ever tried to learn it. I keep telling him, we already have one, how many math nerds do we really need in one family?

LOL surprising. My other brother is a math teacher, I guess I got the language and reasoning skills because all the scientific and math genes were taken!

Pick Magnet has a math degree and can't multiply 6 x 7. I liked math until letters and geometry became involved.

I haven't taken a math course in about, oh gee, 16 years or so! I'd probably just have a blank stare talking to your hubby surprising! But, I loved math. Yup, sure did!
So glad work is done for the day. Is it bedtime yet? I can barely keep my eyes open...............
I think missing my chai tea skinny latte at lunch today is giving me withrawl symptoms.

I love horseback riding. Sadly I'm allergic to horses and hay. I'll never have that hobby farm I've always dreamed of.
So hey, happy friday! Any weekend plans? I'm off tomorrow, yeehaw! I'm hoping to hit the gym early, clean out my garage, clean my house and then I'm off to see the touring comedy show, Just For Laughs in Kelowna. Sunday it's our church's 10th anniversary celebration. onday I'm off. Wow, a three day weekend, I'm stoked!
Can you believe we are half way through November? Yikes.
So hey, hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a kick ass weekend!

I am not allergic to the animals but the hay is a huge allergy for me. Naturally I keep getting pets that have to eat hay. I just take drugs and enjoy the snuggly little monsters. I would love to have a farm, but it would be hard to control myself if I had a lot of room... I can only imagine what I would bring home. Have a great time, Dragon. Spending time with kids is the best.
Jessica, it sounds like your weekend is going to be great. I hope you have a wonderful time. Enjoy your three day too!

I would be dangerous if I had a farm and unlimted funds... I'd have 19,000 abandoned dogs on the land. Seriously. I'd take them all.
This weekend will be all kinds of fun! Finish up the couple loads of laundry I didn't do last weekend and study, study, study, and go to the grocery store to get Thanksgiving goodies. Woo!

Yup, Dragon would be the winner. Though I think my Just For Laughs comedy show will be entertaining. We are going to a lovely italian place in Winfield for wine and supper first.
Oh nonick, I'm with you on the dog rescue thing. I love dogs so much, I wish I could adopt them all from the SPCA. The older ones especially break my heart. How could anyone give away a pet they've had for so long?
Now I'm all teary eyed, damn PMS.
