I'm assuming lots of Polish-folk in the Toledo area? I have never heard of these! They look like a darker Krispy Kreme donut to me. I have no idea what King Bread is either! I am gastronomically uneducated???

Kings Bread is traditional Mardi Gras fair. A giant coffee cake like thing are decorated and has stuff baked into it!

I like the American version better than the traditional one which looks like it has a piece of pepperoni on it at the moment doesn't make me feel that good!
Since they are in your office, you should have one for me-I have never heard of them or Fat Tuesday!
Now that Kings Cake looks a little better! yahoo for New Orleans having mardi gras!!!

Fat Tuesday is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the start of lent. It is also known as Mardi Gras day....it is the last day to whoop it up and party before you have to repent and be good during lent!

LOL, so this is something you celebrate even if you are not at the actual Mardi Gras? I have heard of Ash Wednesday and lent, just not this, but a great reason to eat, drink and be merry!

I believe that many of the Carnivale type celebrations surround the same events. So yes...celebrate.....enjoy Fat Tuesday!!!!
