My Tuesday has been....decent. Last night I tried to work on my term paper, but fell asleep about midnight and woke up with my face in my research at about 5. So i went to bed. Then I woke up to my cell phone ringing at 7:40- definitely forgot to set the alarm clock. I had to look halfway decent, because I had a field trip to see The Marriage of Figaro today. It was a lot better than I expected, I thought I hated opera, but I slept through Act III, although against my will. It was just SO long. Then I had a way too expensive lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Then i came back to school just in time to be dismissed and go to Footloose rehearsal, in which the director completely commandeered the rehearsal from me for the first 30 minutes, then was like, "Seeing as none of the leads are here today, I guess we'll just have to go off schedule to get these people in scenes." Hello! the only reason the supports were there is because they're in scenes ON the schedule! But when I mentioned this, I get a thorough chewing out- so much for giving me any authority. Then she tells me to conduct rehearsal, when all I want to do anymore is go home. yay. Now I'm wasting time here instead of working on my term paper, the first part of which is due tomorrow, and I haven't finished researching. And Duke plays UNC tonight at 9, a game I absolutely can't miss. And this is way too long- sorry.

soft no need to apologize....this is a great place to vent. Sounds like Footloose is becoming frustrating....just hang in there as it will be over soon!!! I think I need to see that show sometime...I just can't imagine the movie on stage.
My Tuesday was long. A hearing in the morning, followed with a deposition!!! Now that is an exciting day. I did get home to check on Train tickets and VOILA they were on sale, finally. I got super good seats, right next to the sound guy.

It's only frustrating when she expects me to direct, but won't back off and let me.
yay Train!

That is what I was talking about soft. Here DIRECT, but then stepping in to do it!!
I am excited to see Train again. They were at the Jingle Ball, but a very short 4 song set. I am looking forward to seeing a full show.

Another Tuesday is here! Seems like a decent day so far. I have a bit of a stuffy nose, which I'm not happy about, but hopefully it's nothing. It's a nice day here, too. It was 32°F according to my car thermometer this morning, but very little wind, so it was a nice walk to the building. Oh yeah, and it's Valentine's Day... woo.
[glow=pink,12,300]Happy Tuesday everybody!!![/glow]

HappyVDay
That V can be for Valentines, or victory, or very happy, or...well you get the picture.
Mas why is it silly? I guess I am one that believes that ought to show your loved ones that they are loved everyday, but a reminder once in a while is not a bad thing.

Because people go out and spend a fortune on junk that they don't need or won't get used for a made up holiday. Its so silly. I got my kids a heart shaped Pez and made them a card. Tonight they'll have a heart shaped meal, but as far as mu hubby and I go, we don't celebrate it. I never have.

I agree that it is overdone in the media. I think the heart shaped meal is awesome. I got my son a box of chocolates and gifts cards to McDonalds and Starbucks, and my hubby got shortbread cookies and tickets to three baseball games!

I've spent my valentines day recording stopping potentials for spectral lines from a mercury vapour lamp. Guess who had lab!

Happy "Balentimes" Day. *This message in honor of the staff at our favorite Mexican joint, where we'll be partaking in fajitas tonight*
Hope everyone is having a great day. Flipper is on the rebound, and trying to get some work done from home today. Nonick, hope your sniffles stay just that! BNLater - three Padres games I'm assuming? Are they supposed to be any good this year? I'm taking Tonya to a couple of Yankees games in May, inlcuding one vs. Boston. Our first trip to Yankee Stadium, she's insanely excited.

What other team is there besides the Padres Flipper? We are also doing four games in the World Baseball Tourny...that was a Christmas gift....well the final three games were. That is our substitute this year from spring training!

I knew you couldn't be too far from the Dodgers, wasn't sure if you ever went to anything there. Is the World Baseball Tourney playing games in SD or LA or both?
