Dodgers!! YUCK. We are seeing one game in Anaheim on March 12. Then the semi-finals and finals the 18th and 20th in San Diego. We got awesome seats. I originally bought seats (they came in strips including all the games) for my hubby for Christmas, and then I found some that are in premium location and upgraded. My brother in law got the other seats for a birthday present!!! We are excited.

I wasn't saying you had to LIKE the Dodgers, just that I always enjoy going to games at different stadiums, whether I like the team or not. I've been to Atlanta, Chicago (White Sox), Minneapolis, and Seattle (besides a large number of Cincinnati games). We'll hit Yankee stadium this year, and I hope to get to the left coast sometime and see SD, both LA teams, San Fran, and Oakland. We took a tour of BOB in Phoenix two years ago, that was pretty cool. The tournament sounds like a lot of fun - glad you are close enough to catch it!

Flipper there is only ONE LA team..the Dodgers. Don't let the idiots fool you..the Angels are from the OC, Anahiem in particular. It is not even the in the same county as LA. Geesh The BOB is cool. My time in Phoenix is mostly in the spring training facilities which rock by the way. If you really love baseball you ought to plan a spring training trip. Tons of baseball up close and personal, great facilities, great people attending...it is the best part of baseball to me. I have never taken a tour of a stadium, but I have been to Anahiem, San Diego (both Qualcomm and Petco), Cincy, St. Louis, BOB, and tons of farm team facilities. Do you have a farm league near you? Here it is a big business. The Lake Elsinore Storm is very close and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (they play at the Epicenter). We love to go to games at either field. They are all new and very nice. Again, you are closer to the field and it is a fun afternoon or evening.

We've had a low single A team here in Lexington for about 5 years now. The facilities are great, and basically the model for all other teams at that level who are just starting or trying to renovate. We had season tickets the first three years, but gave them up when it became too difficult to sell the games we couldn't go to. We decided it was more economical to just buy the games we could make. Of course that meant we hardly have been to any the last couple of years. I was a huge baseball fan growing up, but the strike in 94 REALLY soured me on the majors. I wouldn't attend a game for many, many years after in protest. We get the baseball package on DirecTV so Tonya can see most of the Yankee games, but I haven't had much to cheer for the last 10 years with the Reds sucking so bad. I completely agree that the Angels have nothing to do with LA. I still call them the California Angles. I'd love to do a spring training rotation either in AZ or Florida. My sister-in-law lives in Phoenix, her hubby played for ASU back in the day - was a bookend for Barry Bonds class. It sounds like a 10 day trip and stay with them would be great during March. I'm really looking forward to seeing Yankee stadium for the first time, even though I can't stand the team.

Yep, I had to go get a new one because the one I had was going to expire on my birthday this year. So now it's all shiny and new, the picture isn't bad either, that's always a good thing.

Okay, so since it is officially Fat Tuesday I feel the need to share the joys of the traditional paczki with everyone that has probably not heard of them before. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PaczkiThere are currently about 100 of them in the kitchen here in my office right now and they are all fabulous! Have a great Fat Tuesday and eat a PACZKI!!
