I have not traveled outside of this hemisphere. I think it would amazing to stay in a really old place....
granted I think I would want Scooby Doo and Shaggy around to hunt down the ghosts for me, but I think it would be fun!! (For a night or two!!)
;D

I <3 scooby and shaggy. but they wouldn't do much for you, you know.
I guess that might be fun for a night, and then maybe a nice little NOT haunted place...

Mob - I love haunted places too...just to feel the presense of a entity being there will be a little freaky and yet exciting...

My theory is Scoobster and the shagster could keep the ghosts busy, while I enjoy my stay.... but I better be careful, I might bump into fred and daphne getting it on!! (ICK)

A girl that I work with and her husband, dog, and neighbors rented a cool cottage up in Northern Michigan for a week on one of the million lakes up there. Her pictures were nice and her dog LOVED it! Then of course, my suggestion is to go somewhere with a kick ass amusement park, say Cedar Point...? Spend the week at the Breakers Hotel and waltz in and out of Cedar Point and/or Soak City at will... Lay on the beach... Have TGIFridays ordered up to your room for room service... Go into town for anything you may need that you forgot to bring... Simple, relaxing, and FUN!

That castle looks cold and dank!! But it would be fun for a night or two. I about fell off my chair laughing at the scooby and shaggy comments.....I can see them running amuck now.
Ahhhh vacation.....I am hoping to be able to do spring training next spring for 4-7 days.....all baseball all the time!!!!

mob Peoria is a great location. That is usually where we stay since it is the Padres home field. They share the facilities though. It is a wonderful stadium, and it is fun to watch the interaction of the fans and the players.

The Irish Castle sounds neat, but at 10,000 euro a week, probably won't be there anytime soon.
Nonick, I am with you, an amusement park would be great too. We don't have theme around here like it sounds like you do. I will look of Cedar Point on the web to see what it is like, probably way better than here.
